Odds and Ends, 1/2/21
In der news. In all cases emphasis added.
See this. I have no problem with #2-5, but #1 is open to question. It’s not only the Left that radically changed their tune about The China Plague; the Right did as well – essentially the two sides exchanged scripts once the high-and-mighty God Emperor got involved. And Johnson went from covid-alarmist to flubro with, of course, and as usual, no explanation of even acknowledgement, of the change of attitude.
It seems that the truth of the matter is that while, on average, for most people, covid-19 is not worse than a bad flu, the effects of this new virus it much more variable than is influenza. So, a greater percentage of people show little or no symptoms with covid-19 than with the flu, but on the other side, more people seem to get more serious and/or bizarre symptoms. These latter people are most often the aged and/or those with various comorbidities, but not always. In some cases, severe reactions come to otherwise healthy, not very old, people, and these cases cannot (yet) be predicted. It would seem reactions to the vaccine are more variable than that of the flu vaccine as well. It is the combination of it being a new virus, with the unpredictability of its effects and very serious effects in some people, and the possibility of continued mutation if it continues to spread, that raises concern. And, of course, we live in a feminized, risk-averse, lawyer-infested society which caused the response to the real problem to become excessive.
And, worst yet, none of these people who like to pontificate about covid-19 will place the blame where it ultimately belongs – the yellow monsters of China. But, then, with Wei Fuk Yu (aka “Ben Dover”) running after them, Der Movement is very silent on that issue, eh?
Start at 34:50. Taylor is continuously naive. Tell me again why affirmative action is not an explanation of what’s going on here.
This is HBD. HBDers, and all who support them, are anti-White filth. That means a large portion of the Type I “movement” is composed of anti-White filth
Don Quixote seems to be full of beta males pining after women. Interestingly, these love-struck men sometimes refer to the relevant women as their “foes.” Perhaps Cervantes was on to something, eh?
Another intellectual Counter-Currents cartoon.
In the past, pro-Puritan Nordicist Anglo-Saxonists have cited the physicist Wheeler as someone worthy representing that stock, from which Wheeler was specifically descended on his father’s side.
On his father's side of the family, Wheeler descended from Puritan stock that settled in Massachusetts.
It was his role at Matterhorn B that led Wheeler to take a fateful overnight train trip from his home in Princeton, New Jersey, to Washington, DC, in January 1953. He had with him a short but potent document that explained exactly how the US, at that time the only nation in the world with an H-bomb, had overcome the many obstacles to producing a multimegaton thermonuclear weapon. Somewhere on the train ride, that document went missing.
Hey, what's a lost secret document on thermonuclear weapon technology between friends?
