The Essence of Fascism
Correct.
Mussolini was the living expression of the man of military discipline and hierarchy combined with a clamor for social justice, which is arguably at the heart of what being a Fascist means.
That’s Type II. Type I is being snug in your hobbit hole, dressed like Captain America or Batman, snacking on twigs and branches, and reading March of the Titans while simultaneously watching True Romance.
The statement in the essay that Mussolini’s antics led to the Axis defeat is absurd. You cannot take on three empires at the same time – American, British, Soviet – and expect to win. How was Germany supposed to do all of that? Hitler was a moron.
