Functional Intelligence

Another measure.

HBDers obsess over IQ scores, PISA scores, etc. However, it seems to me that more important than standardized test scores is what I term functional intelligence (FI), the ability to use cognitive ability, coupled to behavioral traits, to create, invent, hypothesize, avoid problems, solve problems, and, overall, contribute to human progress. In other words, FI is the practical application of human intelligence and human behavior in the real world, dealing with real world problems, and actualizing the fruits of human genius, of the human mind, for the betterment of one's people and for humanity as a whole.

By that measure, the big-brained, high-IQ East Asians are functionally mentally retarded.  If nothing else, the covid fiasco demonstrates that the Chinese, for example, would score quite poorly on any measure of FI, which can be termed the functional intelligence quotient (FIQ).
