Very Happy Penguins Indeed

Money, money, money, must be funny...

The following is all from publicly accessible sites, open information, no secrets, nothing private or hidden, just something that can be found in about 60 seconds of searching online.

Yet another publicly available example - previously chronicled in detail here - of Hood’s lying about “little money” in the “movement” – the records of The VDARE Foundation.

Brimelow’s 2017 W-2 compensation $148,303.  That’s a happy penguin indeed!  No that’s not a digital misprint - $148,303 in one year for the “chairman” of a “foundation” whose purpose is running a website (self-described accomplishment for 2017 from the tax form: CREATE AND MANAGE INTERNET PUBLICATION), in other words,  for doing what other people do for free, for absolutely nothing. Was VDARE worth that $148,303 compensation for Brimelow?

Brimelow's 2018 W-2 compensation - $181,675.  Once again: CREATE AND MANAGE INTERNET PUBLICATION.  Total revenue - $698,157. Total expenses - $681,098.

Wait...it gets better!  VDARE's 2019 filing. Look at that 2019 filing, just look at it. $4,345,643 total income. And...$345,364 "executive compensation" for Brimelow!

$345,364!

Once again: CREATE AND MANAGE INTERNET PUBLICATION.

And worse - the "internet publication" is a civic nationalist, HBD endeavor, not even an actual WN production. Does the writing of Sailer, Derbyshire, and Welton actually contribute anything positive to our goals?

Keep all of that in mind the next time VDARE has a "fundraiser" and the next time some Der Movement Quota Queen LIAR complains that "the movement needs more money." How about Der Right more effectively uses the money it does have? For godssakes...$345,364!

And yet Hood and others tell us that their beloved "movement" has "no money."  Aren't you rank-and-file suckers tired of being lied to?

People may object to my negative categorization of Quota Queens as constantly money-grubbing; after all, they’ll argue that these people could have made more money engaging in some “normie” career outside of the “movement.” I respond as follows. With respect to those “movement” heroes who have some ability, particularly those who had careers before becoming full-time activists, it is likely that at the beginning they were sincere, authentic activists.  But, at some point, after failure and failure, after coming across their own limitations and the cuckiness and overall uselessness of Whites, they essentially gave up hope of actually winning and instead started to focus on themselves. They’ve essentially set themselves outside any chance of having, or renewing, a normie career, so to salvage their position, they have to sponge off of their supporters. On the other hand, the more limited individuals, those that have never done anything other than being "activists," essentially have little choice but to grift, being unable to do much else and/or it is much easier to grift than to actually work.

I have no problem with full-time activists getting lots of money if they earn it. For all I care, a productive leader who significantly advances the interests of our people, in a manner that no one else does, a unique world historical leader, can receive a seven figure compensation. No problem. But when hundreds of thousands of dollars are flushed down the toilet to people doing what others do for nothing, then I have a problem. Why I seem to be the only person on the Far Right bothered by this is as disturbing, or even more disturbing, than the issue itself. The rank-and-file are too passive.

But, consider - the rank-and-file of today is likely not the same as that of the past. If you look at the people commenting on "movement" blogs, there seems to be a lot of "churn" in Der Movement. True, people may be using multiple pseudonyms, or switching pseudonyms, but I do believe that for the most case the different people commenting are in fact different people. So, it may be that rank-and-file get disgusted and drop out and are replaced by a new peanut gallery.  So, the passivity of the rank-and-file may not be so much that they just sit around endlessly taking all of this nonsense, but that they drop out after several years instead of fighting for a better "movement."

And imagine if Der Movement was able to retain each iteration of the rank-and-file - the growth would be impressive. But, no, the Quota Queens ruin everything.  But they'll always ask for more money - endless fundraising. The next time some "movement" gaslighter complains that there's " no money" for a legal defense infrastructure or some other useful project, remember this EGI Notes post.

One also has to wonder how much of these financial windfalls are at least in part due to the Der Movement Ethnic Affirmative Action Program that Johnson denies exists.  Can you imagine some wop or hunkie getting $345,364 for similar "activism?"  No. Only the Herrenvolk are so blessed.
