Odds and Ends, 6/14/22

In der news.

Remember this?  Then laugh at this.

To celebrate Year Twelve, we have some new incentives to give, in the form of monthly Giving Circles.

You can see what all of that is in the “Laugh at this” link. I should thank the Counter-Currents crew for proving my point in such a clear and precise manner. How are those childish "Giving Circles" anything other than pay-for-view and pay-to-play hobbyism? Counter-Currents is nothing but a cash cow, a money-making enterprise. Any doubt? Look at the Counter-Currents link.

I've been involved in pro-White activism a long time, and before that, paleo-conservatism, and in all of that time, I've never observed the level of absolutely shameless money-grubbing tin cup panhandling as I've seen Counter-Currents morph into. The NRA comes close. But the NRA fails to equal Counter-Currents' impressively imaginative ways of separating fools from their money.

If you donate 100 criticisms of Der Movement per month, the Sallis Groupuscule offers you membership in The Patler-Tommasi Circle.

See this.

Younger activists worry that if they engage with society and build a more or less normal life, that they will be supporting the System. What they should ask themselves is why their fearless leaders do not share those worries. Looking at those so-called leaders, one sees people who live well, with blue state lifestyles, making good money (including "executive compensation") from activism, had professional careers, have PhDs, go to movies, travel internationally, have families, have homes, etc. And yet you need to be downwardly mobile and live a Mad Max lifestyle in order to "beat the System" while they luxuriate in relative opulence, living off of whatever D'Nations you can scrounge together. Then you get rewarded with membership in the PT Barnum's Suckers Inner Circle. How about you just live your own life the best you can?

This is American Renaissance:

Brett Stevens

Once your country goes mixed-race, it is doomed. Look at Latin America, Southern Europe, and Eastern Europe for good examples.

Attention Southern and Eastern Europeans - Der Movement HATES you. Asians are another story - they are gods that walk the Earth. Anyway, I have a suggestion for Southern and Eastern Europeans - how about you hate Der Movement right back? Know your enemy - Der Movement.

Eastern Europeans take notice; Counter-Currents comment:

Just don’t mix or breed with those that want to destroy you or whose culture is hyper sexualized and violent: Chinks, Hispanics/Latinos, Eastern Europeans, and Blacks. Communism is embedded in these cultures.

If all you hunkies out there think Der Movement loves you that much more than the wops, you're sadly mistaken.

Against Hobbyism

Who enables it?

Some people in the “movement” decry “hobbyism” and “hobbyists” – the idea that there are “activists” who are not serious and who view the “movement” as a hobby and as a source of entertainment; these hobbyists are people who do not (really) believe change is possible or perhaps do not (really) want radical change.  Again, it is just a hobby, a form of recreation, for them.

This type of behavior is common in politics and not only on the Far Right, or only on the Right in general. It seems to be predominantly a White behavior. See this.

Many college-educated people think they are deeply engaged in politics. They follow the news—reading articles like this one—and debate the latest developments on social media. They might sign an online petition or throw a $5 online donation at a presidential candidate. Mostly, they consume political information as a way of satisfying their own emotional and intellectual needs. These people are political hobbyists. What they are doing is no closer to engaging in politics than watching SportsCenter is to playing football…

…Matias is engaging in politics—the methodical pursuit of power to influence how the government operates. If she and the community she represents are quiet and not organized, they get ignored. Other interests, sometimes competing interests, prevail. Organizing gives them the ability to get what they want. Much as the civil-rights movement did, Matias is operating with clear goals and discipline, combining electoral strategies with policy advocacy.

Unlike organizers such as Matias, the political hobbyists are disproportionately college-educated white men. They learn about and talk about big important things. Their style of politics is a parlor game…

…white people reported spending more time reading, talking, and thinking about politics than black people and Latinos did, but black people and Latinos were twice as likely as white respondents to say that at least some of the time they dedicate to politics is spent volunteering in organizations.

Of course, social pricing targets Whites who would organize in favor of their own people as do specimens such as Matias, but, still, one can do a “chicken-egg” argument here and say one reason that (pro-White) Whites are so vulnerable to social pricing is that Whites engage in politics as hobbyism – unserious, disorganized, atomized, etc. Social pricing would lose much of its power with real White organization; it is true enough that social pricing makes the initial establishment of that organization that much more difficult – chicken and egg again. But, all that said, we can ask whether the “movement” by its behavior is actually promoting hobbyism and making real organization even more difficult than it already is.  Let us consider together.

For example, some “movement” websites/blogs have content hidden behind a paywall, and this content only becomes available to non-donors after a lengthy period of time (e.g., 30 days), at which point most readers have likely forgotten about that content in favor of more current material (that is not behind the paywall).

The paradox is this. If the paywall content is of real political value and is not mere entertainment, and if it is of high enough value to be worth immediate access through the paywall, then it is important enough to the cause that it should be immediately available to the entire public, without the pay-to-view model. Authentic activists should not selfishly hold the well-being of the cause hostage to their financial interests. On the other hand, if the paywall material is not so important to the cause, then why pay for immediate access, unless it is merely of entertainment value, hence promoting the hobbyist mindset? This is then like any other pay-to-pay hobby or pay-to-view entertainment; is it no wonder that some activists refer to their own work and those of other activists as “brands." Further, some websites give special commenting privileges through the paywall as well, tying access to full participation to a pay-to-play model.

By linking viewing and/or participation to payment, such as what one would expect from, say, HBO or ESPN, or from some sort of pay-to-play online gaming site, these "movement" entities promote the idea that what is occurring is a form of entertainment service. You pay, you can indulge your hobby of Far Right activity, and you may even fool yourself in believing that your (usually online) playtime is accomplishing something. But from the standpoint of serious political activism, it is a delusion.

How would the Quota Queens respond? Perhaps the best riposte against my argument is to cite books. Non-fiction books can be very important sources of information, insight, and/or analysis, and yet no one objects that they are for sale, that people must pay to have access, and that the authors are compensated for their work. I myself have no objections to books for sale (including those by activist and activist organizations), as long as they are fairly priced. However, I see a qualitative difference between (1) a book, which is a discrete block of content (discrete in that it is a finished product and not continuously updated, except for the possibility of occasional new editions) that the author provides to the buyer; and (2) an activist blog, which is an ongoing dialogue between author(s) and readers as part (usually) of a continuing effort to produce (societal) change.

An analogy will help to illustrate the distinction. Assume John Doe is running for political office. If Doe writes a book about politics, most people would not object for that book to be sold and for Doe to be financially compensated as the author. On the other hand, most people would object if Doe were to charge people money to ask him questions at town hall meetings or if he wanted to charge people money to vote for him. It is one thing to sell a book, it’s another to charge money to allow others to engage in political participation - political participation that you desire them to do and that would benefit you and your cause. It would be expected that Doe’s campaign would be financed via donations, not by charging supporters a fee to participate in specific electoral activities and events. Likewise, while activists can certainly sell books without any objection from fair-minded people, it strikes some of us as odd that they adopt a HBO-like pay-to-view attitude toward online political content. These activists typically already frequently engage in fundraising in order to support themselves on their follower’s donations. Do they need to sell political content and political participation as well? Should they? Where does it end? Do we need to pay money to them for an annual subscription license to call ourselves “White nationalists?”

I would put paid subscriptions for journals in the same category as books.  I have no problem with The Occidental Quarterly (or American Renaissance when it was in print) charging a subscription fee so as to stay in business and compensate authors for producing (in theory) high quality material of a discrete (issue by issue) nature. My problem with those journals is was/is with their content, not their business model.  Another analogy would be helpful. Assume that John Doe is a military officer, say, a Colonel. Very well – Colonel Doe may have paid subscriptions to military journals. No problem there. He is paying for access to discrete packets of specialized information that takes time and effort to produce and are, hopefully, of high quality. These discrete packets of information are purchased to be read by Colonel Doe, not in real time and not as a plan of action, but to broaden his base of knowledge in a deep (and time-consuming) manner.  On the other hand, imagine if Colonel Doe gets a message from his commander, General Grifter. The good General says – “if you want to know my strategic plan for the war, pay me a donation.”  Or – “if you want to know the tactics we will employ in the upcoming battle, well then, pay to get behind the pay wall.”  Or – “if you want me to consider, in real time, your opinion of the battle plan you need to be a paid insider.” That would be considered absurd. That would be a military officer having to pay to have real time access to the ideas of his commanding officer, and having to pay to have his own opinions heard without “moderation.” Again, there is a difference between paying for substantial, discrete packets of high quality information for broadening one’s knowledge base vs. having to pay for access to continuously updated real time information and cooperative interaction.  One can be expected to pay for discrete blocks of knowledge that have taken much time and effort to produce and that can have long-term effects to benefit the purchaser; one should not be expected to pay to participate in the basic activities required for the individual or entity to achieve desired objectives.

And don’t cite membership dues as a riposte against my argument either.  We can of course debate whether a particular organization is of any use, and such an organization may have hobbyists as members, but at least we are talking about an ostensible organization with ostensible goals, not just a website or something similarly ephemeral. True, some organizations are little more than fundraising vehicles and as such are also examples of “movement” grifting. However, in many cases, “movement” organizations enable hobbyism “by accident,” through sheer incompetence, rather than by intent - the actual intent may have been, at least at first, genuine political activity. A website/blog with a paywall is hard to similarly defend.

In any case, if the Quota Queens were really against hobbyism then they would eschew the pay-to-play and pay-to-view models for activist participation and to view political material. After all, those models essentially say to the activist that what the cause is about is (more or less) passive entertainment – pay money and read material you might find interesting and pay money to sit behind a computer and see your comments pop up in real time. You’re not actually doing anything of course, any more than you would if you pay HBO to watch TV shows and movies, or pay to do some sort of online gaming. “Movement” activity in this regard is even worse than the aforementioned entertainment possibilities, since Der Movement gives activists the illusion that their hobbyist “fun” is accomplishing something while it of course is not. Making people pay for what are essentially entertainment services of course enables hobbyist attitudes – how could it not?  If these “leaders” were serious then they wouldn’t be running their entities like for-profit news and entertainment companies. They also wouldn’t be putting up financial roadblocks to people to read material related to pro-White activism or to participate in online forums.

But there’s more.  Besides enabling hobbyism by transforming activist participation into a “pay for entertainment” model instead of facilitating open dissemination of ideas and cooperative interactions, Der Movement also enables hobbyism via its unenviable record of constant failure, its emphasis on digital as opposed to real-world activity, and its absence of any real strategic plan other than to say “we will win, just send us some D'Nations.” The “movement” can’t even define with certainty and finality who is or is not in their ingroup; they’ve been playing the “Who is White”” game for decades, with no end in sight. What kind of serious political entity cannot even set the terms of its own membership?  The defining characteristic of a group is in vs. out; without that, it is nothing.

Whether they admit it to themselves or not, activists don’t take any of this seriously. They don’t believe that White nationalism can win, they don’t believe that their own activity can make a difference, and they don’t believe that their “leaders” are really capable of affecting the broader society. Given that realization, even if it is below the surface of conscious thought, the activist slips into the entertainment mode of passively consuming content (in some cases, pay-to-view) and getting the vicarious thrill (sometimes also requiring pay) of seeing their comments immediately online and their own pseudonym given the label of “insider.”  Fight the System!  What a joke.

Fighting hobbyism would mean that the “movement” and its “leaders” would need to eschew and oppose all those behaviors that enable hobbyism and instead promote meaningful activity that requires participation and contribution beyond paying money to read an article and/or comment on it.

I’m not sanguine that hobbyism will be effectively fought in such a manner.

But, hey, just call me "insane" and a "paranoid piece of crap," and that makes all my arguments go away, amirite?

Counter Laughter

Give dem shekels!

Laugh at this.

This year, Counter-Currents aims to raise $300,000 to sustain and expand our work.

“Trevor Lynch” needs to watch more movies to write up for the anti-White HBD Jew Unz site, and, of course, Jimmy “worst week yet” Goad needs his well deserved salary.

We have raised $10,441.67 thus far. Thank you to all our donors!

Yes, all you imbecilic suckers!

Last week, we announced a $3,000 matching grant. We are now at $1,532, more than halfway there.

Ditto.

I do not at all enjoy asking our community for money.

That’s why you and your fellows do it non-stop.

But our cause is too important to give in to such feelings.

But of course.  It pains them – pains them I say! – to ask you for constant handouts so they, your fearless leaders, can live better than you, their hapless followers.  But, hey, mophead is doing it, so why not them?  Executive compensation!

Without a thriving philanthropic culture, we cannot influence politics in America.

Influence it in a negative direction. And, by the way, forgetting for a moment whether their influence is good or bad, how have they done so far with the money already bestowed upon them?

Thus we must think of charity as a sacred calling.

Yes, sacred that you give and they receive.  It’s holy even!

Greg Johnson is building a staff of seasoned professionals.

Just read posts by Jeelvy, van de Camp, and Goad and that should be immediately obvious.

We have come a long way with dedicated amateurs.

A long way down from the point where Counter-Currents was ten years ago.

Wait till you see what we can accomplish with dedicated professionals.

Down to the sewer. They’ve utterly failed as “dedicated amateurs.”  Wait till you see how they will fail as “dedicated professionals.”

There is no better contribution to our people’s future than a gift to Counter-Currents 2.0.

Counter-Currents 2.0!  Part of WN 3.0!  Rosie and the kids!

We are a mature institution…

Mature!  Just read Jim Goad.

…run by capable people…

Greg Johnson's constant errors of judgment, gaslighting, and tragicomic errors are chronicled here.  If that is “capable,” I’d hate to see what incompetent looks like.

… pursuing the best possible strategy.

For taking your money.

Thank you for your faith in Counter-Currents’ mission to empower white identity politics.

And enrich their bank account.

Please make a gift between $50 and $500 now to fulfill its promise.

Suckers.

A Huge Tolerance for Unreality

Indeed. Excerpts, emphasis added.

SPLC material: Laugh at this. I usually don’t link to scum like the SPLC, but this is just too good to pass up.

Hatewatch identified and compiled over 600 cryptocurrency addresses associated with white supremacists and other prominent far-right extremists for this essay and then probed their transaction histories through blockchain analysis software.

These people have every right to earn money and to use cryptocurrency if such is necessary in today’s climate of ideological intolerance that filth like the SPLC promote. My own objections to these activities are summarized at the end of this post.

What we found is striking: White supremacists such as Greg Johnson of Counter-Currents, race pseudoscience pundit Stefan Molyneux, Andrew “Weev” Auernheimer and Andrew Anglin of the Daily Stormer, and Don Black of the racist forum Stormfront, all bought into Bitcoin early in its history and turned a substantial profit from it. The estimated tens of millions of dollars’ worth of value…

Then they cry poverty and engage in continuous fundraising.  How about earning this largesse through productive activism instead?

…extreme far-right figures generated represents a sum that would almost certainly be unavailable to them without cryptocurrency, and it gave them a chance to live comfortable lives while promoting hate and authoritarianism.

That’s a good thing if – and only if – they were actually earning the money through work that advances the cause, which unfortunately is not the case.

Extremist Early Adopters of Bitcoin

Less than a quarter of Americans presently own some form of cryptocurrency as of May 2021. But those numbers increase substantially within fringe right-wing spaces, according to Hatewatch’s findings, approaching something much closer to universal adoption.

That demonstrates how limited “Hatewatch’s” understanding of the “fringe right-wing space” is, said ignorance being a good thing.

Hatewatch struggled to find any prominent player in the global far right who hasn’t yet embraced cryptocurrency to at least some degree.

By “prominent player” do they specifically mean a High Trust Quota Queen grifter?

The average age of a cryptocurrency investor is 38, but even senior citizens in the white supremacist movement, such as Jared Taylor of American Renaissance, 69, and Peter Brimelow of VDARE, 73, have moved tens of thousands of dollars of the asset in recent years.

How come I’m not surprised by that?  Cue “Gregory Hood” crying “movement” poverty.

Cryptocurrency, or a group of digital moneys maintained through decentralized systems, has grown into a billion-dollar industry. A growing swath of Americans embrace the technology. Nothing is inherently criminal or extreme about it, and most of its users have no connections to the extreme far right.

Excuse me, you filthy scum, there’s nothing “inherently criminal or extreme” in holding opinions that the SPLC disagrees with.

…‘Who are these people?’ there’s evidence that a lot of them are not the people you would want to support.

Obviously they do have support, moron. Where do they get their money from?

‘A huge tolerance for unreality’

Johnson of Counter-Currents, an influential figure in the white nationalist movement due to his outspoken support for the creation of an “ethnostate” serving only white, non-Jewish people, first picked up Bitcoin on Jan. 19, 2012, Hatewatch found, making him the first known figure in the movement to invest.

Of course. If it has to do with earning money, one can expect Gaslighting Greg to be at the forefront.

Johnson obtained the 29.82 Bitcoin on a date when prices for the asset sat between five and 10 dollars. Hatewatch found that Johnson flipped the Bitcoin from that first transaction and additional ones into over $800,000 worth of value.

But, hey, all you guys living in your parents’ basement, you send in your few shekels to Counter-Currents, so you can live in The Golden Age today!  And make sure to do “estate planning” to leave whatever little you have to Greggy, rather than to your own family.

He has turned his website Counter-Currents into a hub for cryptocurrency discussion in the movement and solicits donations in digital tokens, or cryptocurrency “coins,” such as Bitcoin, Ethereum, Litecoin, Monero, Bitcoin Cash, Tether, Cardano, Ripple, Dash, Neo, Stellar Lumens and Basic Attention Token. Hatewatch reached out to him for a comment on this essay, but he did not respond.

He’s too busy fundraising.

“If any of you haters out there have any Bitcoin and you just want to get rid of it, send it to Counter-Currents, we have a Bitcoin address,” Johnson said on a Jan. 5 edition of his livestream, referring to those who perceive cryptocurrency as lacking in real world value. “I’ll hold it, I’ll stack it, I’ll keep it...

Indeed.

…I have a huge tolerance for unreality.”

Well, I see that Johnson and I can agree on that at least.

Johnson often platforms on his site an antisemitic white nationalist personality who goes by the pseudonym Karl Thorburn. As Thorburn, the author advises people in the movement to purchase and hold Bitcoin as an investment.

Hold it?  No, no, a thousand times no!  You must donate it to Johnson.

Matt Gebert, a State Department official Hatewatch identified as a white nationalist organizer in 2019 (the government suspended him after we published the story), also has contributed material to Johnson’s Counter-Currents.

Counter-Currents is fighting the System! If you have any doubts, donate to their tax exempt 501c3 foundation.

“Bitcoin started in right-wing libertarianism,” Gerard said in an email. “This is not at all the same as being a neo-Nazi subculture.

You’re behind the times, Gerard. With WN 3.0, what’s the difference?

‘At the expense of the parasites’

Molyneux, a self-described moral philosopher who started his career as a libertarian pundit, denies being a white supremacist despite repeatedly and falsely claiming that non-white people are predisposed to be of lower intelligence.

That’s not “false” – at least with respect to Negroes and many Hispanic types. The evidence is overwhelming.

Molyneux generated million-dollar profits in less than a decade through his donations, flipping $1.67 million worth of value into at least $3.28 million.

Cry poverty!

In February 2021, he described the value of cryptocurrency using tropes commonly associated with antisemitism.

“Bitcoin is a currency that serves the people at the expense of the parasites, rather than the currency which serves the parasites at the expense of the people”…

I suppose that by “parasites” he is not including “movement” “leaders.”  Why not?

‘The dollar is going to collapse’

Neo-Nazis promote propaganda claiming that Jewish people control the banking industry for the purpose of deliberately harming or undermining the ambitions of non-Jewish white men.

That’s objectively true, isn’t it?

They also often openly cheer for the destruction of the U.S. as we know it – portraying the collapse of the government and financial system as an inevitability.

Well, maybe eventually, who knows?  But Der Movement has been preaching “the System is about to collapse; it is imminent” for the past 50 years.

Daily Stormer editor Andrew Anglin, who in recent posts to his site advocated for the legalization of gang rape and called the COVID-19 pandemic a hoax…

Greg Johnson’s “WN 3.0.”

“We know as an absolute matter of fact that the dollar is going to collapse, and presumably every other fiat currency on the planet is going to get dragged down with it. Maybe property or metals are better than crypto.

Here is a basic economic truth – the value of something is only what someone else is willing to pay for it or exchange for it, and, of course, the inherent value of that something to its owner.  You can’t eat gold. Gold has no intrinsic value (well, it does have some practical uses, but those uses are not the reason for gold's value) other than it is considered desirable; but in a Mad Max scenario, it will be as worthless as “fiat currency” unless it somehow is accepted as a medium of exchange – and there is no guarantee that it will. Property at least can be lived in. And only an idiot will say that a prediction of a sociopolitical/economic event is a "absolute matter of fact." How many times have we heard something like that about things that still have not occurred decades later?

The Associated Press and PBS Frontline collaborated on a report in September showing that Anglin supporters have sent him at least $4.8 million in Bitcoin, based upon data pulled from Chainalysis, a cryptocurrency analytics firm.

Can he pay off legal judgments then?

The criminal underworld has reportedly employed Monero at a growing rate. The Financial Times noted in June that Monero has become “an increasingly sought-after-tool for criminals such as ransomware gangs.” In August, when comedian John Oliver ran a segment on his show depicting Monero’s advertising as subtly winking at criminals, an outreach organizer for the token defended their technology on grounds that it fights back against “a society of ever-growing mass surveillance.” Monero has elsewhere argued that it enables commerce and does not promote secrecy, or crime, any more than cash.

The SPLC, in a not-so-subtle fashion, tries to equate ideological opponents to “the criminal underworld.” They’re absolutely despicable. Want to see folks worse than the Quota Queens?  Try the SPLC.

Fuentes has not received or spent any Bitcoin at that address since Dec. 16, 2020, when he withdrew all 13.73371697 Bitcoin in his account, worth $266,392.40.

Cry poverty!

‘A place that doesn’t hate us’

In the aftermath of the violence on Jan. 6, a gaming video livestreaming site called DLive banned Fuentes. Their decision further isolated the 23-year-old extremist, who had up to that date used nightly live video appearances on the site to influence crowds of young men to attend Stop the Steal rallies. People donated to white supremacists and neofascist livestreamers in substantial amounts on DLive, as Hatewatch has previously reported. The company permanently removed a number of extremists beyond Fuentes after Hatewatch reported on them, including the antisemitic performer Owen Benjamin and Jan. 6 participant Tim “Baked Alaska” Gionet.

Freaks aplenty.

‘The music will eventually stop’

When the Australian bank Westpac cut ties with Hitlerite, anti-Muslim extremist Blair Cottrell, his supporters, and many libertarians who may feel ambivalent about his hateful beliefs and simply love cryptocurrency, hyped his situation as an ideal reason for Bitcoin’s existence. These advocates suggested that if banks agree to cut ties with far-right extremists, those who are affected should respond by converting their fiat money (money issued by a government) entirely into cryptocurrency. This way of seeing the world, layered with dreams of big payoffs in passive income and understandable fears of government intrusion, has taken hold on the far-right fringe. But converting your money entirely into cryptocurrency carries undeniable risks.

So, on the one hand, scum like the SPLC support banking deplatforming of “far-right extremists,” and then, on the other hand, they crow about how unstable the alternatives are.  What low-life filth the SPLC scum are.

“Regulators want to crack down on fraud,” financial analyst Jacob King told Hatewatch of the cryptocurrency space. “While this is great news in the long run, it will have a disastrous impact on the price of Bitcoin and many altcoins as they are dependent on price manipulators like Tether and Binance.

Just the sort of unstable esoteric nuttiness that is grist for the mill for Quota Queen incompetents.

The feds are also allegedly probing Binance, cryptocurrency’s most trafficked exchange, in an investigation led by government officials who investigate money laundering and tax evasion…

Euphemisms for politically motivated harassment.

“Neo-Nazis have mainly used cryptocurrencies to escape the traditional financial system,” King added. “While that may have worked for the last few years, we’re seeing a huge pushback from regulators. The crypto markets are like a giant game of musical chairs. The music will eventually stop, and millions will be subjected to major losses as the prices tank back to their true values.”

That’s OK. The Quota Queens will use that as an excuse for more rounds of shameless tin cup rattling fundraising.

In addition to concerns about crashes, investors sometimes lose access to their cryptocurrency due to missing passwords or other blunders, rendering millions of dollars of value useless.

Der Movement and “blunders” go together like peanut butter and jelly.

‘More valuable than gold’ or ‘close to nothing’

The “true values” of cryptocurrencies, as King put it, depends on who you are asking, and opinions vary in the extreme. What happens to digital currencies from here is likely to have a profound impact on the far right due to the degree to which extremists have adopted the technology relative to the population as a whole.

Given the established record of continuous failure for the Quota Queens, one can surmise that an inevitable disaster is waiting to unfold.  Time will tell.

For the risk analyst and author Nassim Nicholas Taleb, the true value of Bitcoin may be zero. He opined about its value in a recent paper:

Few assets in financial history have been more fragile than bitcoin.

Makes sense then that inept Quota Queens would plunge right in.

Either way, those who invest in cryptocurrency have already experienced price volatility in the extreme, demonstrating the degree to which funds can evaporate overnight.

More great judgment from Der Movement.

As I have previously written, I have no problem with activists making money to support genuine activism. What I do have a problem is with people crying poverty while raking in large sums of money, and then not earning that money by engaging in useful, positive work that significantly advances the cause. Money in activism is supposed to be a means to an end, not an end in itself. Unfortunately, I see people who seem to me to be engaging in activism to make money, rather than making money so as to be able to engage in activism. What I observe is endless fundraising and people who create “brands” to cater to the worst instincts of their supporters, with the objective to maximize D’Nations. I see people earning $340,000 in “executive compensation” in a year for doing what other people, like myself, do for nothing. That is in my opinion completely unacceptable and I will continue to oppose it.

Of course, if the SPLC was really opposed to White nationalism, then they would (indirectly of course) support the careers of the inept Quota Queens mentioned in this article, whose net contribution to the cause is best represented by a negative sign, and who stand in the way of a new and authentic pro-White movement. I suppose that all of the accusations are true that aver that the watchdog groups are themselves grifters (the mirror images of those they allegedly oppose) who create bogeymen out of pitiful failures in order to scare leftist suckers into contributing money. On the other hand, perhaps, by giving these “movement” idiots publicity as “dangerous extremists” and thus legitimizing them to their followers, the watchdog groups are indeed supporting the Quota Queens and thereby damaging White nationalism, a “win-win” situation for the watchdogs when coupled with the fundraising successes that the scare tactics enable.

Instead of attacking the beliefs of others, can the SPLC articulate a positive view of a society they would like to see, and convince others of it? That’s doubtful, as the multiracial, multicultural consensus slowly collapses and people don’t take that crap seriously anymore. On the other hand, Der Grifter Right is intellectually and morally bankrupt, so what we have is an ideological vacuum, leading to nihilism.

Movement Money Pit

The tin cup is overflowing.  In all cases, emphasis added.

See this; I friend of this blog forwarded that very interesting article.  Let us consider together. I will assume that all of the information listed below, and the tax form information from which it is derived, is accurate; if it is not, the groups mentioned should correct it. The ProPublica not-for-profit database is currently not updated with this information. I will first fisk the article and then make my main argument at the end.

For the second year in a row, the right wing’s favorite dark money donation vehicle has given an unprecedented sum to a notorious white nationalist hate group.

Putting aside the breathless, inflammatory verbiage (“dark money, notorious, hate”), the basic problem here is that most of the groups in question are NOT “white nationalist” but instead are “yellow supremacist” HBD “race realist” and/or immigration restriction-minded civic nationalist. Now, even though the groups in question are not White nationalist, they all are definitely part of Der Movement; note that I have been chronicling how Der Movement has been abandoning genuine, authentic White nationalism in favor of the emerging HBD-Nordicist-ethnonationalist-Amnat alliance that centers on the ideologies promoted by those non-WN “movement” groups. So there is no inconsistency in stating that they are not White nationalist but are part of Der Movement.

New tax records obtained by the Center for Media and Democracy (CMD) reveal that nonprofit charity DonorsTrust bankrolled the New Century Foundation—an alias for American Renaissance, a white nationalist organization led by Jared Taylor—with $600,000 in 2020.

Consider that very carefully the next time Amren rattles the tin cup.

That amount exceeds the New Century Foundation’s total annual revenue in any year since 2010.

They’re moving on up.

American Renaissance, which is designated by the Southern Poverty Law Center (SPLC) as a white nationalist hate group, is Taylor’s online magazine and is known for creating the black-on-white crime myth…

It’s not a myth. It is based on official statistics, for example, those from the FBI.

…which has inspired terrorists including Dylann Roof to commit mass murder.

Nonsense.

“You don’t exactly need a PhD to understand why Jared Taylor is a white nationalist”…

I have a PhD, and I understand that Jared Taylor is NOT a White nationalist – he self-identifies as a “White advocate” and a “race realist” (i.e., a HBDer) and he has suggested that some people may view Amren as “yellow supremacist.” Amren conferences have featured Jews, Asian, and race mixers as speakers. I am a White nationalist, not Taylor.

…said Michael Edison Hayden, a senior investigative reporter and spokesperson for the SPLC. “He believes that Black people are less intelligent, less empathetic, and less human than white people.

Well, that’s true, isn’t it?

He will tell you that with his own words and does so every day on his website, which is so grotesquely and openly racist I sometimes feel nauseated reading it.”

If by “openly racist” you mean animus against White ethnics, then yes, I’ve chronicled Amren attacks against (Southern) Italians, Hungarians, and Romanians at EGI Notes. Other than that, Amren is extremely mild, milquetoast, milksop stuff.  If it is nauseating, it is because the pro-Jewish and pro-Asian attitudes extant there. And if this idiot gets sickened by reading the weak sauce of Amren, then he’d probably keel over and drop dead after reading EGI Notes.

DonorsTrust is a fund associated with the Kochs, the Mercers, and other right-wing billionaire families. It is a donor-advised fund sponsor, meaning that it manages individual charitable accounts for its clients for a fee. These clients, who can hide their identities from the public by using DonorsTrust, “advise” DonorsTrust about where the money should go, but the organization has total legal authority to decide which organizations will receive funding.

They can give their money where they damn please. I don’t like the Quota Queens wasting money that could be used better elsewhere, but there’s no accounting for donor taste.

In 2020, DonorsTrust also gave $75,000 to the foundation behind the prominent white nationalist hate group VDARE, the tax records show.

Stupid and factually incorrect breathless soyboy posturing. VDARE may be prominent in Der Movement but it is NOT “white nationalist” nor does it promote “hate.” If only that characterization was true, then I could support VDARE’s mission, but it is not true.

The previous year, as CMD first reported, DonorsTrust gave over $1.5 million to the VDARE Foundation.

Well, there’s a lot of “executive compensation” needed there, no doubt.

The amount was far greater than the group’s previous annual revenue record and likely helped VDARE purchase a castle in West Virginia.

So that’s where the money came from?

In total, VDARE took in a whopping $4.3 million in 2019, as CMD and the SPLC reported.

Remember that the next time Der Movement cries poverty, and tells you they can’t build a legal infrastructure because of financial reasons.

VDARE, led by Peter Brimelow, promotes the white genocide conspiracy theory…

It is not a conspiracy. Demographic change, which is celebrated by the Left, is an objective fact.

…a central tenet of white nationalism…

Brimelow is NOT a White nationalist.  He is an immigration restrictionist civic nationalist.  That is the agenda of VDARE, along with HBD “race realism.”

…has published apologia for white nationalist terrorists..

Nonsense.

…and regularly churns out anti-immigrant propaganda.

So what? Immigration can legitimately be challenged. By the way, Brimelow was an immigrant, and Derbyshire was an illegal alien immigrant.

“There’s ethnic specialization in crime,” said Brimelow at a 2017 event hosted by American Renaissance, “and Hispanics do specialize in rape, particularly of children. They’re very prone to it, compared to other groups.”

That’s true, isn’t it?

As the American conservative movement, inspired by the racism and conspiracy theories of former president Donald Trump…

If Trump is a “racist” then he’s one against White people, having taken their votes and doing nothing to help them, not even mentioning them as a group in any public address or comment, while foaming at the mouth about how much he and his administration helped every group but Whites.  And most of the “conspiracy theories” have turned out to be, likely, true.

…moves further and further to the right…

Yes, that “conservative movement,” and the GOP that serves as its vehicle, may even reach the point it was in the 1950s, under that radical Nazi Dwight Eisenhower and his Operation Wetback.  Truth is, the “American conservative movement” (sic), just like American society as a whole, has been moving left for decades. Any correction to that, however minor, is to be welcomed.

DonorsTrust has dramatically increased its funding of white nationalist hate groups.

Name one such group, not including groups whose ideology contradicts authentic White nationalism.

Before 2019, the charity had not donated to such groups, although for some time it has been financing anti-Muslim, anti-immigrant, and anti-LGBTQ hate groups.

Is the SPLC an anti-White hate group?

As CMD reported, the trend continued in 2020: DonorsTrust doled out large sums to the Center for Security Policy ($1.8 million), the David Horowitz Freedom Center (nearly $200,000), and the Pacific Justice Institute ($74,000), among other extremist organizations.

So, anyone to the right of you is an “extremist” peddling “hate.” Did you ever stop to consider that one reason that DonorsTrust has expanded its donations to groups you despise is that it is a response to the hateful leftist extremism of people like you, and of the SPLC?

DonorsTrust did not immediately respond to an emailed request for comment.

They are under no obligation to answer to the likes of you.

“DonorsTrust deserves all the scrutiny it can get for funding American Renaissance,” said SPLC’s Hayden. “

How about those who donate to the SPLC?  What kind of “scrutiny” do they “deserve?”

All Americans, regardless of race…

Lie. Don't speak for me, scumbag.

…suffer immensely when financial institutions lift up those who deem Black people to be subhuman…

Why should Americans suffer by truth being funded?  Doesn’t truth set you free?  I for one suffer by having to live among subhuman Blacks.

… It sets our country back by decades.”

Quite the opposite.  The problem is not the agenda Hayden fantasizes about.  If that agenda was actually being funded, and good work was being done with that money, then that would be beautiful. Unfortunately, what we have instead is money going to inept “race realist” and civic nationalist Quota Queens.

Other donor-advised fund sponsors finance white nationalist hate groups, but not nearly as generously as DonorsTrust. Some of the biggest charities in the nation have recently given money to the New Century Foundation, the VDARE Foundation, and other white nationalist organizations.

Again, you mendacious, lying, gaslighting, dishonest piece of utter filth, the New Century Foundation and the VDARE Foundation are NOT “white nationalist organizations.” In my opinion, what they stand for is antithetical to genuine White nationalism.

The National Philanthropic Trust donated to these two groups for the first time in 2020, giving $50,000 each to the New Century Foundation and the VDARE Foundation. Through a spokesperson, the trust evaded responsibility for its donations.

They are not obligated to explain their donations to the likes of you.

Our donors recommend grants that support a variety of organizations, all in good standing with the IRS, which may be on differing sides of a cause. NPT does not take a position on which causes our donors support however we carefully follow strict due diligence procedures to ensure compliance with all applicable laws and regulations. In accordance with NPT policy, we suspend grants to charities under investigation by any regulatory body that calls into question an organization’s ability to carry out a charitable mission.

That’s reasonable.

Other recent funders of white nationalist hate groups include the donors-advised fund sponsors linked to the Fidelity, Schwab, and Vanguard investment firms.

Interesting.  Why are they donating?  There are many possibilities here, some good, some not. Buying “insurance” in case things get “hot?” Co-opting genuine White nationalism by funding its intra-“movement” opposition?  A response to being shocked by the behavior of the Left over the past few years?  Who knows?

The people who should be interested in all of this is not hysterical leftists, but pro-White activists, who give their hard-earned money for “D’Nations” and who probably don’t know how well off the recipients of those donations are, and would be outraged by how little is being accomplished by all the money received.

I need to get in this racket; when I retire, I need to get on the “movement” gravy train!  Shilling for shekels!  Look at the chart at the end of the article.  Where’s my money?  My tin cup is empty. Oh the agony!

Now comes my main message, which is all 100% consistent with everything I have been writing about Der Movement and its finances over the last few years.  Der Movement loves to cry poverty, rattle the tin cup for “D’Nations,” engage in constant fundraising, excuse their endless failures by claiming a lack of funds and other resources, but, as you can see, in reality, they are doing quite well financially. They are certainly doing better than any of us, and certainly doing better than the masses of activists, some of whom who are not doing well, who shell out the shekels to pad Der Movement’s overflowing coffers.

The problem is not that Der Movement is making big money.  The problem is that they are making big money while:

  • Constantly shilling for “D’Nations” from rank-and-file activists and putting forth the façade of being struggling, deplatformed, and defunded victims fighting a System in which virtually everyone is against them.
  • Promoting ideologies that are hostile to, and in competition with, the pan-European White nationalism that I espouse.
  • Accomplishing little of value for pro-White activism as a whole, taking resources away from potential activities that could be of value, while, in some cases, getting comfy “executive compensations” for doing things other people do for nothing.
There are serious consequences for this waste of money,  Consider the recent Unite the Right civil suit decision. The "movement" lacks an effective legal infrastructure in part because the financial resources are not available - and yet the Quota Queens are taking in "unprecedented sums" of money.  Do you see the problem?

Odds and Ends, 11/11/21

In der news.

Happy Veterans Day for everyone except the ethnonationalist filth.

Is the "movement" fundraising in order to support activism, or is the pretense of activism done to create a "brand" to support "movement" fundraising?

Academic rigor is necessary to maintain the standards required for maintaining, and improving, an advanced society.

I note that "movement" heroine Princess Tulsi Coconut is on FOX News a lot these days. Lest we forget: see this. Is Negrophilic FOX News in favor of reparations these days?

Der Right, Der Right, Der Right is always wrong.

Lots of talk of "mama bears" with respect to school boards, CRT, and Youngkin. That's great. But where were all those "mama bears" when their cubs were being attacked in school by rabid chimps?

Newt is correct. "Gain of function" is very simple - when some sort of biological, molecular, and/or biomolecular entity acquires new and/or additional and/or increased activities or capabilities, then that is gain of function.  You can play semantic games and redefine it any way you want, but that doesn't change the facts.  Fauci is a despicable turd who belongs in federal prison.  SuperMax for Fauci.

Asian medical lies. Reagan "healed" his colon cancer by having it surgically removed. He was lucky it hadn't metastasized. The doctors told him, according to the story, that it may have spread. They didn't know. Obviously, it hadn't. If it had, his "alternative treatments" would not have helped him any more than it helped Steve Jobs with his pancreatic cancer.

See this.  Putting aside the issue of the references to Lynn and Pierce, I for the most part agree with Strom's points in that presentation. But here's the rub. If Strom really believes all of that, he would be a relentless enemy of HBD, Amren, etc. If that is indeed his attitude, I have as yet not heard or read it clearly expressed. Ball is in your court, Kevin.

Amongst this leftist crap website, we find:

Do the yellows—[the Chinese]—have the same human value as the whites? [Fr.] Licent and many missionaries say that their present inferiority is due to their long history of Paganism. I’m afraid that this is only a ‘declaration of pastors.’ Instead, the cause seems to be the natural racial foundation…

HBDers weep.

Adolf Spencer.  After Greg Johnson explains his own rapid rise in Der Movement he can get back to the question of Spencer’s qualifications for being made head of NPI.  I can understand being angry, but that Spencer recording was a bit over-the-top.  The funny thing is, the High Trusters (i.e., Johnson) call me “insane” and they (fetishists in general) talk about “gesticulating swarthoids,” but perhaps they need to look a bit closer to home.

See this.  That's a blow to the Arctic Alliance narrative as well as the "Asians are better at everything" narrative. There's a lack of comity between Whites and Asians, which should be obvious to anyone who doesn't have Ms. Wei Fuk Yu as their proctologist.

Overweight Turko-Albanian "Ostrogoth":

Maybe I had to lasso Greg Johnson over to Dlive, but he appears to have developed both a knack for and an enjoyment of the livestream format. Why shouldn’t he? The philosopher’s natural place is in the salon, or in the agora. Ideas are meant to be tested.

Yeah...how about "testing" the ideas by debating opponents, instead of calling them "insane."

Counter-Currents has to be the most dishonest site on the Internet.

Odds and Ends, 11/6/21

In der news.

In the past, racism was defined as discrimination against Coloreds to benefit Whites and anti-racism was defined as color-blind equality. Today, racism is defined as color-blind equality and anti-racism is defined as discrimination against Whites to benefit Coloreds. Fifty years of "movement" "metapolitics" really worked wonders, eh?

Premise: All of the negative things happening to Whites occur because Whites let it happen.

Premise: It are pathologically altruistic Whites responsible for letting this happen.

Premise: According to HBD-Nordicism, it are the High Trusters who are pathologically altruistic.

Conclusion: If you believe in HBD-Nordicism, then you must also believe that the High Trusters are responsible for the downfall of the White race (and that Outer Hajnal White ethnics must take up the mantle of White leadership).

See this.  That's a mixed bag. The criticism of Lawrence - a pompous retard - are all on point, and I agree with those. The positive comments about Lawrence are comically wrong, particularly the idea that his criticism of Salter's work is "really good." Lawrence does nothing but rehash HBD/GNXP-style talking points that have been REPEATEDLY debunked since 2003 (mostly by me, by the way), as well as dwell on points Salter discusses in his book, which leads me to believe Lawrence never read it, and is instead depending on the viewpoints of racially self-interested non-White HBDers as well as White HBDers who need to type on their keyboard lying down since the colonoscope-sized Chinatrix strap-on shoved up their rears makes sitting difficult. Lawrence offers nothing of value, which essentially sums up the entire Affirmative Right site.

Gee...I think the accusations of Quota Queens being grifters is hitting a bit too close to home. No, sorry, I don't buy the logic there. Whether or not someone believes in what they say is irrelevant to being a grifter - if they are essentially tricking people in giving them money by pretending to be, or achieve, something they are not - that is in my opinion grifting, regardless of their ideological beliefs. And I have already argued against the "why would they get involved in activism under their own names if they weren't sincere" trope. Look, maybe they originally got involved for sincere reasons, then decided things were hopeless and/or that they themselves were hopeless and incompetent, but then became "trapped" because they had no way back to a normie career. So, in order to survive, they peddle a "brand" to the gullible, sucking up "movement" money while contributing nothing equivalent of value. When someone earns $340K in one year just to maintain a website, don't tell me that they shouldn't be criticized for their greed.

Sallis definition of grifter - someone peddling a belief system who has as their main goal making money; the money is the end and the belief system is the means, as opposed to a genuine activist who merely uses money as a means to achieve the end of promoting beliefs.

Grifter warning signs - people who spend a large fraction of their time fundraising, people who use their own families - including young children - as props for fundraising, people who tell you to to write your will to leave them money when you drop dead, people who earn money out of all proportion to the value they provide, people who refer to their beliefs as a "brand," people who pose as friends of free thinking but censor critics from their sites, people who produce or promote content that attracts page views but achieves no ideological purpose - you get the picture.

You see, the FOX News/Gab "we're all children of God" types are sort of hamstrung if they oppose this. What are they going to say? That they don't want stupid, ugly, and violent feral Coloreds beating up their kids in school? That would be "un-Christian." Jesus is King!

In response to HBD-inspired flim-flam, lying to you that kinship is not significant past immediate family, and is irrelevant to ethny, here is Harpending's paper describing the basic fundamentals Salter used (with Harpending's assistance) in On Genetic Interests.

The coefficient of kinship between two diploid organisms describes their overall genetic similarity to each other relative to some base population. For example, kinship between parent and offspring of 1/4 describes gene sharing in excess of random sharing in a random mating population. In a subdivided population the statistic Fst describes gene sharing within subdivisions in the same way. Since Fst among human populations on a world scale is reliably 10 to 15%, kinship between two individuals of the same human population is equivalent to kinship between grandparent and grandchild or between half siblings. The widespread assertion that this is small and insignificant should be reexamined.

Even the GNXP superhero, the leftist academic Ingo Brigandt admitted that helping co-ethnics could be adaptive because they are genetically more similar, his moronic argument was that ethnic nepotism "could not have evolved" (despite every group except Whites doing it), thus it could not exist - a completely illogical statement.

Wow - we did not evolve to use computers, so obviously we cannot use computers. QED.

The fact that general domain mechanisms can be adapted to alter behavior in novel environments never occurs to these types (or they are simply mendacious) - never mind that there is no reason to assert non-evolving ethnic nepotism.

But, hey, if objective genetic reality, and neo-Darwinian evolutionary theory, means that a buck-toothed, flat-chested, greasy-haired, yellow-skinned, prognathous, broad-nosed, foul-breathed Chinatrix shouldn't live in America, then by golly the genetics and evolution just gotta go!

Please see this. "Fowler" cites and promotes the work of Greg Johnson about Savitri Devi - and of course Fowler IS Johnson.  But, hey, LeBlanc tells you that "movement" "leaders" are not grifters in any way, no siree! In fact, for me to mention that Fowler-Johnson incident is proof my insanity, and my paranoia and being an all-around piece of crap!

Laugh at this. After telling us how unfair it is to call people on the Right grifters, now it is that the “sincere man of genuine greatness” Trump is a grifter.

More:

There are also esoteric reasons why Trump is unfit to hold any position of responsibility

He was caught fondling Savitri Devi’s sari.

It may at first glance seem odd to extrapolate from myth to politics. However, my analysis is not the Right-wing equivalent of argument by analogy to Harry Potter.

No, we’ll do Lord of the Rings instead.  To the hobbit hole!

…why the Holy Lance drips blood.

Because a Chinatrix shoved it up a White male HBDer’s ass?

He will be unlike several prominent dissident movement leaders, too, who grew passive and squandered resources and opportunities instead of asking about what they could accomplish.

All of the Quota Queens.

Trump’s role is clearly that of the wounded Grail King, and he should not be confused with the victorious knight to come.

That’ll be Greg Johnson riding on the back of a gay brony “furry” dressed in a pink pony costume.

Who will be our avenging/restoring Grail Knight? It could be Barron Trump. He is preternaturally tall and is born of Melania, a mysterious Queen from a far-off land.

Like Johnson and Spencer, he’s tall and not a manlet like that Hitler punk.

Today, there is room for something better to grow and to take the place of spent boomerism. Whoever successfully assumes Trump’s mantle must and will reject the silly Enlightenment worldview. Our chosen knight will be as radical as he is traditional, aristocratic instead of populist, and absolute instead of conditional.

Moronic generation warfare combined with bizarre traditionalism.  But, I don’t understand – doesn’t Herr Greggy tell us we must embrace big test populism?

Remember when Greg Johnson posted a picture of Friberg posing with some Swedish Antifa guy as part of his smearing of Friberg? Then what can we say about this?

The FOX News/Gab crowd should look at this., including the cited paper, and answer some questions:

  • Are apes Children of God?
  • Were australopithecines Children of God?
  • Were Homo habilis and Homo erectus Children of God?

Erectus walks amongst us, indeed.

This is American Renaissance:

If it weren't for the Chinese and other professional immigrants, America would have long ago lost its superpower status and China would have become the dominant technological superpower.

Most of the research in the U.S. is done by the Chinese and other immigrants. Chinese and other immigrants are working hard and getting their PhDs in STEM while white people are whining that they no longer are the top dog.

"intellectual property theft and spying on a massive scale" is just an excuse used to put trade tariffs and sanctions on China to stop it from becoming the dominant superpower.

...the U.S. should allow the Chinese to immigrate. It's because Chinese immigrants are doing a large chunk of the research work in the U.S. Without them, the U.S. is very likely to lose its technological edge.

There are dramatic race differences in crime rates. Asians have the lowest rates...

Wherever you look, Asians outperform whites academically and financially...

...we have a considerably less than one standard deviation difference between Asian IQ — North Asian IQ — and white IQ. I think that, too, is a result of genetics, and I think that that is what explains the dominance of Asians in certain fields, and their lower rates of illegitimacy compared to whites, their lower crime rates, their better achievement in school, their higher average incomes...

- Jared Taylor Interview

Someone sums it up:

Amren needs to decide if it is a pro-white website or just an anti-black website. Right now, it is the latter.

Let us face the facts: Amren is an anti-White, Asian supremacist hate site.

Failed Brands

Der Movement, Inc.

Laugh at this.

Good to see that a Counter-Currents writer has admitted that the “movement” is composed of “brands,” within which one cannot critique either the “brand” or the “boss.”  That sounds like an almost Sallisian critique; hopefully, this fellow will not get labelled “insane.”

An article by Aquilonius was recently published here at Counter-Currents, ”Is America First Cracking Up?” While I am a regular viewer of Nick Fuentes’ nightly show, America First with Nicholas J. Fuentes, I don’t pay much attention to the broader America First Extended Universe, so I was a bit slow in getting up to speed on the most recent drama going on there.

What?  “Movement drama?”  Gee, that’s a surprise. When is Gaslighting Greg going to get involved?  Handbags at dawn!

The short version of the story is that Ryan Sanchez, aka Culture War Criminal (CWC), had been a part of the America First (AF) movement…

Note that the author of this moronic article characterizes AF as a “movement,” but soon we’ll learn it is a “brand,” you know, just like MacDonald’s or Coca-Cola.  Or maybe it is a "scene." Read on…

…but was recently expelled for criticizing Fuentes and other high-profile AF members. In addition to this, CWC was subjected to an intense online struggle session where Beardson Beardly and Baked Alaska…

“Beardson Beardly and Baked Alaska” – we are supposed to take all these guys seriously, right?

…acted as the grand inquisitors. There is likewise another America First streamer who goes by the name of Red Pill Gaming (RPG)…

Anyone there named "Anime Masturbator?”

…who has also earned Fuentes’ ire by questioning his methods and decisions. He was similarly subjected to a hot grilling by Fuentes on a Killstream episode.

Gee, that must have been tough.  A battle of wits between unarmed opponents.

The controversy stems from the fact that many people consider some of the critiques made by CWC and RPG to be valid. These include questioning why a nominally pro-white operation employs so much black music in their content…

Maybe because the whole Amnat-Gab-FOX News “mainstreaming” Christian scene worships Blacks and other such non-human featherless bipeds as “God’s children.”

…the wisdom of Fuentes participating in a documentary made by Louis Theroux, a notorious liberal hatchet man with a long record of hostility towards pro-whites…

Maybe the Amnats are just civic nationalists and don’t care about Whites in a racial sense.

…the tendency of some AF streamers to do gaming streams rather than more serious political content…

Well then, all of this nonsense is the latest iteration of the “big tent” “youth culture” we are all supposed to support. After all, it gave us the stunning success of the Alt Right, so what can go wrong, amirite?

…and the utility of having a time bomb like Baked Alaska associated with the AF brand.

AF went from being a “movement” to a “brand.”  More about this shortly.

Many people’s perception is that Fuentes and company are lashing out very aggressively at people who are in fact offering legitimate criticisms. Some believe that this is evidence that Fuentes is becoming megalomaniacal. He’s expelling people from his movement for being honest and telling the truth!

I have a somewhat different take on this, but first I have to discuss another matter.

Counter-Currents has its share of detractors.

Indeed.

Around the net, I have encountered people who say, “How could you write for Counter-Currents? One time Greg Johnson said blah blah blah.” This doesn’t bother me, since I would be getting some kind of grief no matter who I was writing for. If I wrote for American Renaissance, I would be hearing, “Jared Taylor won’t talk about the JQ!” If I wrote for The Daily Stormer, it would be “Weev’s a Jew!” If I wrote for VDare, if would be “race-mixing boomers!” Some people will always find something to complain about.

And the complaining would be legitimate. The difference between them and myself is that I have my own platform; I'm not just leaving comments around the Internet.

It’s true that I could have just started my own blog and then I would not have to deal with any of that. I would only have to answer for the things I said and did. But building an audience from scratch is a lot of work. Why would I do that when I could write for an established brand that already has one?

So, this idiot admits to being a lazy bastard who wants to parasitize off of the work others have done building their own platforms.

But there are some trade-offs when creating content for an established brand.

As promised, I will now dig deeper into this “brand” thing.  As should be obvious, and as some on the comments thread to this imbecilic article have already noted, AF is not supposed to be a “brand” but a revolutionary movement.  What those commentators won’t say, for fear of being “banned” by Gaslighting Greg, is that the same applies to Counter-Currents and all the other “movement” sites mentioned. In theory, they are all supposed to be part of a political/metapolitical revolutionary movement, aimed at world historical societal change.  They are not supposed to be “brands.”

But I agree that, in actuality, they are brands, because Der Movement, Inc. (a money-making enterprise) is a giant grift that panders to the stupidity of its followers and has as its primary objective enriching the Quota Queens who preen and prance as its “leaders.”

You have to be a brand ambassador. Every brand is going to have a party line…

Yes, indeed. Don’t criticize Gaslighting Greg. Be hostile to Spencer, Friberg, and Sallis. Gaslight about everything and anything. Be a petty nationalist.  Insult Italians.  Have a liberal attitude toward homosexuality.  Be an esoteric traditionalist.  Sound familiar?

…and you have to work within those parameters. The heads of the brand will also have friends and enemies, and while you don’t have to make all of them your own, you certainly can’t go around trashing their friends or praising their enemies. In short, you have to be a team player.

See above.

On platforms like YouTube or Dlive, everyone is essentially an independent operator. But even there, there are cliques of like-minded content creators who support and promote each other. Getting in with such a clique might help you grow an audience faster, but it will still function as an informal quasi-brand, with all the same advantages and disadvantages.

Advertise your brand!  Bring in dem shekels!  Fundraising!

When I talk about brands, this can be juxtaposed with a “scene.” The Dissident Right is not a brand; it’s a scene encompassing many brands, sub-scenes, and individual actors. Anyone can come along and call themselves “Dissident Right,” and there is no central authority who can refute that claim or expel the claimant.

Now, we start confusing “brands” with “scenes.”  We’ve come a long way from “AF is a movement” from the beginning of this “essay,” eh?

When you look at the drama in the AF scene, it boils down to the simple question: Is AF a brand or is it a scene? Nick Fuentes apparently believes that it is a brand. He believes that it is his brand that he created, and that he gets to decide who is and is not part of that brand.

OK, it’s a “brand.”

It might be helpful to look at Fuentes’ career arc thus far. He began his political streaming career making content for an established brand: the Right Side Broadcasting Network. He was later dropped by them for attending Charlottesville –i.e., for going off brand. After a brief partnership with James Allsup, he spent the next couple years as a solo operation. Sometime around 2019, he decided to turn his solo operation into a brand.

As a brand, America First works differently from all the other brands I have mentioned so far because it is not based on one website, but rather across multiple streaming services. There are certain people who Fuentes blesses as Nick Fuentes-approved content creators, and they become representatives of the AF brand. There are a lot of benefits in doing so. While Fuentes is not paying his creators, his clout is such being on his team guarantees audience interest and, by extension, superchat money.

The key word – MONEY.  Thar’s what it’s all about, my friends.  Der Movement is all about Der Money.

If we are to take the view that AF is for all intents and purposes a brand, which I do, then yes, Fuentes is entirely within his rights to get angry about being criticized by people who are using his brand. Asking whether or not such criticisms are legitimate is beside the point.

But of course. Who cares about the legitimacy of criticism of Der Movement?

“He doesn’t talk about Jews” is one criticism of Jared Taylor. Is it legitimate? Maybe it is and maybe it isn’t. I could see how one could argue that by not talking about Jews, Taylor is not giving people the full picture. But if you want to write for American Renaissance, you are essentially forfeiting your right to complain about that.

The problem with Amren is the hypocrisy; they historically have quoted Jefferson about not wanting to hide any truths from the world, but they do not allow truths about the JQ there, while at the same time defaming Italians, Romanians, and Hungarians, including promoting Lynn’s lies.

Similarly, John Derbyshire at VDare is in an interracial marriage. One might say that it is bad optics or looks hypocritical for an outlet dedicated to white survival. Is that a valid criticism? Maybe it is and maybe it isn’t. But do you think Peter Brimelow would tolerate anyone on his own staff complaining about it?

Err...it's not only VDARE and Brimelow. Derbyshire is broadly protected and enabled throughout Der Movement, particularly at Amren, where he is invited to speak at their conferences (after calling Amren conference attendees "latrine flies" by repeating that characterization), promoting his Arctic Alliance nonsense and other destructive memes.  Be honest. The protection of the Quota Queens is not only a local "our brand" thing but a "movement"-wide Old Boys Network of affirmative action-supported Herrenvolk.

Further, looking at the blog where this idiot writes, the “protection” at Counter-Currents seems limited to Johnson and perhaps a few favorites.  When I was part of that “brand,” I certainly was not protected from having my “whiteness” (indirectly) questioned by Andrew Hamilton, and Jef Costello was fair game for essentially being labeled a pseudonymous coward by Jim Goad (I note that Costello hasn’t posted there for a long time, good for him).

And Majority Rights was known for having Guessedworker allowing commentators to subject blog posters to vile abuse.

So, not everyone has enjoyed the protection from lese majeste than, say, His Holiness John Derbyshire.

I therefore have to side with Fuentes here. Whether CWC or RPG’s criticisms of Fuentes are legitimate or not doesn’t matter. That’s the trade-off when you want to be a content creator for an established brand. Portraying Fuentes as “not being able to handle criticism” is unfair. No one who operates a brand is going to allow the content creators on their own brand to publicly criticize them, legitimately or otherwise. If something comes up that is such a big deal, you don’t make content for that brand.

Note that I’m no longer involved with any of those “brands.”  I suppose I have my own “brand” – the “insane paranoid piece of crap” “brand,” I suppose.

RPG disputes this and claims that rather than being a brand, America First is more like a scene.

A "scene", not a "movement."  After all, everyone is tacitly admitting that none of this is serious. Apart from making money, that is.

He says AF is more of an idea or a collection of beliefs, and that anyone can call themselves America First with or without Fuentes’ approval. After all, Fuentes didn’t invent the terms “America First” or “groyper,” so who is he to police those who refer to themselves by those labels? In theory, RPG is right, but in practice, if a twentysomething white male starts a YouTube channel and calls himself “America First,” he is probably not marketing his content to Seinfeld enthusiasts. Rather, he is trying to tap into Nick Fuentes’ audience.

Tap into audience = tap into revenue stream.

When it comes to the claim that these AF disputes are being handled poorly and with bad optics, I think Fuentes’ detractors are making a stronger point. The streams of CWC getting chewed out by Beardson Beardly and Baked Alaska (who came off as particularly unhinged), or Nick Fuentes’ shouting match with RPG on the Killstream, are not pleasant to hear.

Beardson and CWC met in person at an anti-vax rally…

Of course.  We have to appeal to the Gab/FOX News yahoos after all….

…in Springfield, Illinois over the weekend, and a heated exchange ensued. Beardson was so aggressive towards CWC that some normie MAGA moms in attendance…

You know, the kind that will scream about vaccines but smile benignly when their children come home from school bloody and beaten after being attacked by feral Negros. We’re all “Children of God” after all.

…actually came out in defense of CWC. This is a sign that these extremely bombastic humiliation rituals are not appealing to normies. Maybe AF feels that it is necessary to make an example of CWC, but there is nevertheless a subset of their target audience who find their methods distasteful.

Some of this may be due to the nature of America First as a brand. If AF was centered on one website, to drop someone from the brand you could just drop the person from the site.

Like Greggy does.

With AF, however, you become part of the brand by being endorsed by Fuentes, and dropped by being disavowed. Regardless, over-the-top aggression being employed to accomplish this is less than ideal.

As a result of these humiliation sessions, some people have started describing America First as a cult. I would dispute this, but the fact remains that there are people who see these developments as a bad sign. If someone were a newcomer to America, and the first thing they heard was the video of Beardson Beardly and Baked Alaska screaming at CWC for disagreeing with the boss, no one could fault them for thinking that they had just stumbled across a cult.

And now we have moved from “movement” to “brand” to “scene” back to “brand” and now to “cult.”  Well, yes, many “movement” “brands” are indeed personality cults. Counter-Currents is a Gaslighting Greg personality cult.  Not much of a personality, true enough, but there you go.

Comments:

If Nick Fuentes is accomplishing nothing then the rest of us are accomplishing nothing times a million.

Yes, Travis, that's correct, you at Counter-Currents are "accomplishing nothing times a million."

Lord Jim:

I can also think of at least one person—one whom Fuentes never missed an opportunity to bash and who is persona non grata on this website—who got tons more national attention than Fuentes ever did or ever will.

It seems like plain-speaking tough guy Jim Goad is afraid to write the name "Richard Spencer" over there at the Counter-Currents brand. I suppose he doesn't want to get smacked in the head with a pink purse. Understandable.

Note that Fuentes does not invalidate my concept of "movement" affirmative action. America First/Alt Lite/civic nationalist right-wing populism/Trumpism is part of the broad "big tent" Der Movement, but it is peripheral, it is NOT any part of the WN/racialist/race realist core. The extent to which Fuentes would be accepted as a "leader" in that core is best exemplified by Rodney Martin's designation of Fuentes as "Nick the spic."

Tommasi was killed, Calabro was mocked behind his back as "racially mixed" and "omnidominant" - the affirmative action program won't allow non-Nordic Europeans, much less someone part-Hispanic.

Great optics!  How can any of these people, and their websites, talk about anyone else?
