The Death of American White Nationalism

It was murder.

In this post, I will make the argument that American White nationalism, as we have known it, is dead (and if not yet dead, certainly dying). Further, I will propose that in the place of genuine White nationalism, the American “movement” is birthing a grotesque, monstrous "rough beast” of aracial civic nationalist populism, with fringe elements of HBD, Nordicism, HBD-Nordicism, traditionalism, and anything else that can be pulled out of the memetic sewer. This is being done not only to drive a stake through the heart of White nationalism, but to prevent the rank-and-file from recognizing the death of their ideology, so they stay with Der Movement and do not move on to something new and better.

Before I proceed, I want to once again make a distinction between Der Movement, which I despise and oppose, and White nationalism, which I support.  Der Movement is (or should be) a means to an end, while White nationalism is the end for which the “movement” is supposedly the means. So, one can strongly be supportive of an end, a goal, an objective, while being vehemently opposed to how that objective is currently being worked toward; they can oppose the means used to achieve their desired end. Thus, I would welcome the death of Der Movement (which can’t come soon enough), but I view with great dismay the death of American White nationalism. 

And please note that the death of American White nationalism would not mean the death of Der Movement, oh no, because Der Movement has been evolving into something quite different from being a vehicle for White nationalism. Indeed, this evolution is in large part responsible for the death – the murder – of American White nationalism. That is because the ideology of White nationalism in America became so strongly entangled with Der Movement that it became completely dependent upon it (similar to the relationship between American conservatism and the Republican Party). I warned American White nationalists to cut ties with Der Movement before it was too late, and to help build a New Movement, but no one listened. So, let us now survey the ruins of American White nationalism.

I want to make clear here that I am not really referring to the endless failure of Der Movement; again, it is the “movement’s” increasing abandonment of White nationalism that is the issue in this essay, not the failures of Der Movement itself.  

I have previously discussed this issue here.  I noted this Counter-Currents comment:

There is a broad trend on the Right now to move ever more towards meta; film reviews, music, analysis of other people in the movement (which was mentioned critically in a comment on the podcast article about America First), philosophy, based Christianity and paganism, while some of our people are even saying that race and the JQ are passé, old news, WN 1.5 or something. I’ve even heard people apparently in our circles say we need to be less ‘about race’.

And made these comments:

That is consistent with my critiques of the current “movement” as being more about HBD “race realism” or “traditionalism” or “America First” civic nationalist Trumpian right-wing populism and the “big tent” as well as focusing on narrower intra-racial distinctions such as Nordicism and/or ethnonationalism, instead of being about broad-based White nationalism. MacDonald’s turn to HBD-Nordicism, and away from the JQ, is part of this, and the whole abandonment of hardcore racial nationalism and the emphasis on “meta” and “mainstreaming” makes the remains of the “movement” ever more congenial for the likes of Filipina (married to a Jew) Malkin and former illegal alien (HBDer married to a Chinatrix) Derbyshire.

This issue has continued to develop; the rot within the “movement” has continued to spread. The attacks against White nationalism from Affirmative Right led to this Counter-Currents article. Of particular interest is the following comment excerpt:

Are Americans inherently averted to ethnocentrism? I’d say yes. In general. My suggestion, to preserve a modicum of the traditional values, to combat Globalist neoLiberal ideology is to build a populist conservative coalition with non-whites: Something like the Brasilian Integralist movement of Plinio Asado. The U.S. is a bi-racial multi-ethnic country – unlike ex-Yugoslavia where ethnic lines were clearly defined (more or less in Bosnia). I believe that would be a more successful long term approach for the reality “on the ground”

So, the argument coming from "movement" commentators is now one in favor of multiracial conservative populism. If one looks at American Renaissance (Amren), besides the steady stream of Asian supremacist comments, one finds in the comments sections things like the following:

Personally I don't have any special preference for whites...I don't believe in some situation where we strongly favor the ingroup and toss people aside who are the outgroup.

There you go. That is consistent with all of the non-Whites, including “Black conservatives,” that you see on FOX News, consistent with the “We’re all God’s Children” civic nationalism of Gab, consistent with the big tent multiracialism of the Alt Lite, America First, multiracial Amnats, HBD race realism, all of it. And why should you be surprised by that comment from Counter-Currents, or that from Amren, when "movement" "leader" Greg Johnson of Counter-Currents himself endorsed a multiracial future for “ethnonationalist” “White” states? We must save 10% of our population niche for “Rosie and the kids,” don’t you know. Meanwhile, Amren self-describes as "yellow supremacist."  That's what passes for "White nationalism" or "White advocacy" in the year 2021.

The signs and portents of the death of American White nationalism are all around you. Lawrence and Affirmative Right attack the very foundations of a rational, scientific White nationalism. Counter-Currents promotes multiracialism and tries to redefine White nationalism as simply a grouping of different traditional European ethnic nationalisms.  Non-Whites are not only valued commentators at FOX News – which is expected from cuckservatives – but in Der Movement itself (e.g., Lipton Matthews, Michelle Malkin, Amren Jews). MacDonald switches from the JQ to HBD-Nordicism. Movie reviews and “metapolitical content” combined with bizarre esoteric traditionalism replaces a serious political movement for White survival. HBD race realism replaces kinship-based racial nationalism and we have leading “White advocates” making blanket statements in favor of Asian racial superiority.  A race-mixer like Derbyshire is not only tolerated in Der Movement but gets to peddle his “Arctic Alliance” trash at “movement” conferences. Instead of On Genetic Interests and Imperium we are "blessed" with The Homo and the Negro and My Nationalist Pony. According to Counter-Currents, we should not use the term "White race" anymore. This is all simply astonishing. We have a dead American White nationalist ideology for a dead American nation.

This was very predictable, and I indeed did predict it, once HBD became entrenched in Der Movement. HBD and authentic White nationalism are in constant conflict, the former being aracial cognitive elitism and IQ nationalism that elevates Jews and Asians at the top of a ranking of certain phenotypic traits, while the latter is kinship-oriented with an ingroup based on genetic similarity and on shared ancestry, as well as on a shared civilizational background. Despite my warnings, the HBD cancer spread, metastasizing through the “movement,” destroying the healthy memetic tissue of racial loyalty. When Amren focuses on HBD and harps about Asian superiority and invites Jews, Filipinas, and race-mixers as honored speakers, then White nationalism dies. When activists engage in divisive Nordicism, White nationalism dies. And when the two - HBD and Nordicism - are combined into HBD-Nordicism, ideological death is certain. HBD was always about opposing White nationalism, particularly pan-Europeanism (remember GNXP in the early 2000s?) and so the marriage of HBD with Nordicism, another deadly enemy of pan-Europeanism, was inevitable. What did activists expect when they accepted the HBD poison into the “movement” system?

The GNXP wing of HBD was always all about that “Razib and Godless Capitalist” must be allowed to live in America; the Amren-VDARE wing was always all about that “Rosie and the kids” must be allowed to live in America. But I for one do NOT want to live in the same polity with any of those individuals, and I cannot understand any so-called “pro-White activist” who would agree to such an outcome for racial activism.  We may as well just agree with Michael Hart’s multiracial “White separatist state” that would exclude only Blacks – but, no wait, we need to include Blacks in our coalition as well. Hart was indeed prescient when he ditched his multiracial “White separatism” for completely aracial conservatism. And, of course, when THE JEW speaks, the HBD-Nordicist-ethnonationalist alliance listens, and the lapdogs eventually follow suit, as they are in fact doing. Very “integralist” it all is!  Cultural nationalism!  After all, we can’t leave out the likes of Lipton Matthews or Jayman now, can we?  Again: It all conflates to the FOX News/Gab “We’re all God’s children” model of aracial civic nationalism. That’s Trumpism, that’s the big tent “right-wing populism,” tinged with a bit of (ironically, elitist) aracial HBD cognitive elitism. Old School White nationalism is passé – “cave man nationalism” as Trad Vlad would say. Out with the old, in with the new – Color, Color everywhere.  “Rosie and the kids!”  After all, the scorn for WN 1.0 and the embrace of WN 2.0 or WN 3.0 was a signal that the Quota Queens were jettisoning actual White nationalism for something fundamentally different.

And so we are left with an utterly transformed "movement." The HBD poison was allowed in. Everything else – the Alt Right fiasco, traditionalist cul-de-sacs, the multiracial Alt Lite-Amnat-American First Trumpian “big tent,” obsessions with mainstreaming (which never extended, interestingly enough, to reaching out to White ethnics, nor led to a realization that “normies” are repulsed by “movement” nonsense and don’t care about HBD or Savitri Devi) – all of that followed. HBD entered a “movement” body already weakened by the infections of Nordicism and traditionalism, and then the HBD cancer so weakened Der Movement that all of these other opportunistic infections and infestations found a warm and cozy home. Until of course all of this nonsense kills the host, at which point the infestations mimic the host and try to convince everyone that the host still lives (as a ghost or zombie, I suppose, but the parasites make believe that the host is still alive and healthy). And of course, just like fungi sprout in decaying organic material, all of the money-grubbing grifters emerge from the corpse of American White nationalism. The decaying cadaver of an authentic ideology makes fertile ground indeed for all sorts of noxious mushrooms.

What we have instead of genuine American White nationalism is HBD race realism, multiracial right-wing populist conservatism, Trump worship, traditionalism, conspiracy theorizing, “We’re all God’s Children” Christianity, lunatic fringe Nordicism and ethnic fetishism – everything and anything except good old basic (pan-European) White racial nationalism.

Now, one may think that this situation gives new hope for a New Movement – if Der Movement abandons hardcore White nationalism, won’t White nationalists have to look somewhere else?  But it is not that simple. Der Movement and its "leaders" are not honest enough, or stupid enough, to openly declare their break with White nationalism. Indeed, many of them will continue to publicly identify with White nationalism and deny that any break exists. They will simply transform and evolve “White nationalism” into something at odds with itself, a grotesque multiracial abomination with no connection to authentic White nationalism, while continuing to call it “White nationalism” and tricking the rubes into going along. They have a history of doing so. Look how Greg Johnson repeatedly tries to redefine White nationalism away from its “Our Race Is Our Nation” core into being merely a constellation of loosely aligned individual petty nationalisms. And many naïve and conformist activists buy into it, being cognitively unable to discern the transparently obvious and dishonest memetic sleight-of-hand involved (similarly, within Der Movement, “pan-Europeanism” has been distorted into a surface veneer for Nordicism, Pierce and the National Alliance come to mind). So one cannot be sanguine that a New Movement will benefit from the Old Movement's de facto abandonment of its core principles. People too often value style over substance; they consider labels to be more important that the thing itself. As long as you have Quota Queens pretending to represent the ghost of American White nationalism, then there will be fools who’ll think that Michelle Malkin, Amren Jews, and “Rosie and the kids” are somehow representative of a “new” “White nationalism.” Only those who are rational logical thinkers, who see things as they really are and who discern reality, will understand the need for a New Movement, and will recognize the open niche space left after Der Movement abandons core White nationalist beliefs.

American White nationalism did not die a natural death, it was murdered. American White nationalism is being erased with malice aforethought. That the grifters may maintain a fig leaf cover of a “White nationalist” label for the monstrosity they are birthing doesn’t matter. The “rough beast” of aracial HBD civic nationalism (posing as White nationalism) is coming, thanks to your failed meritless affirmative action Quota Queen “leadership.”

Addendum

Frank Salter gave to the “movement” the gift of a coherent biopolitical paradigm, through a book – On Genetic Interests – that wove together rational science, politics, and ethics to provide one of the two main pillars of sane racial nationalism – the biopolitical perspective, which when combined with the High Culture second pillar, helps to construct an edifice that has lasting power.

But the stupid “movement” basically threw it away, rejected this gift, with the “movement’s” combination of irrationality, hostility to real science, ignorance, naiveté with respect to the HBD cult, and all-around obstinacy and stupidity.  The “movement’s" poor reception of Salter’s work is probably the biggest disappointment I’ve had in the “movement” – after all, I always knew Nordicism was a serious problem, but I didn’t suspect that the “movement” is composed of people so abysmally stupid and stubborn that the simple “we have interests in co-ethnics who are genetically more similar to us than are non-ethnics” reality is questioned and in some cases rejected.

The pieces fit together. Ditching authentic White nationalism means ditching kinship-based ingroups in favor of other constellations of individuals – the IQ nationalism of HBD race realism, religious cultural nationalism and multiracial civic nationalism, big tent Trumpian right-wing populism and color-blind conservatism. For that to succeed, paradigms based on racial and ethnic kinship – such as EGI – must be rejected.  After all, if you accept genetic kinship, and the interests derived therefrom, as a paramount concern, then that endangers the status of Jews and Asians.  And we certainly can’t have that!
