The Apotheosis of Francis Parker Yockey

Support Imperium, not deification of the man.

Hero worship is always a problem. When that hero worship results in shallow adoration that disregards, or defies, the “hero’s” ideas and ideals, it is a serious problem. It is an even more serious problem when faux-worship is used in an instrumental fashion to promote the interests of grifters and/or to promote ideas and ideals that oppose that of the erstwhile “hero.”

An example of this is the apotheosis of Francis Parker Yockey (“The Cult of Saint Francis,” to borrow Coogan’s term) by some in the “movement,” particularly by hardcore ethnonationalists, individuals whose divisive petty nationalism is in opposition to everything that Yockey believed in and was fighting for, for the very Imperium idea that Yockey died for. When someone is deified by people who oppose what the “demigod” believed in and, in this case, died for, this is very unfortunate indeed.

Some may point the finger of accusation at the Sallis Groupuscule – they would say, "don’t you praise Yockey (and have a picture of him at EGI Notes), while disagreeing with him on certain key issues?  Isn’t that a shallow deification?"  No.  As I have written before, we need to understand what Yockey’s main thesis was, and we need to distinguish the fundamental from the peripheral aspects of his work. Applying the Pareto Principle, the rule of 80-20, we can determine that the main thesis of Yockey’s work, the 80%, was the idea of Imperium, the Unity of the West. All the rest, the other 20%, is peripheral - the bizarre and wrong-headed ideas about biological race and about science, the Spenglerian “pessimism,” the negative attitude toward Eastern Europe, etc.  See my views here.

…it is clear that pro-White activists have had a number of problems with Yockeyism. The issue of biological race is often foremost among these…Yockey lacked the training and empiricist mindset to address Nordicist theory head-on, so he side-stepped the issue by equating biological race differences to what he termed “vertical race theory” to be considered outdated and wrong, in favor of the "new idea" of  "horizontal race.”  Another point of controversy is his objectively wrong opinions and dismissive attitudes toward science; there are also his attitudes toward Eastern Europe (see below), as well as the issue of “Spenglerian pessimism.”  

The major point I make in this essay is that those issues are all peripheral in the sense that they are not the fundamental idea promoted by Yockey, not his fundamental thesis.  Some of those issues are related to his main thesis, no doubt, but they are not fundamental to it…The main thesis of course is the subject of his last chapter, and the title of that chapter and of the entire book – Imperium.

So, if we are going to avoid a superficial and/or mendacious apotheosis of Yockey, if we reject deification, we can examine his views with an eye toward both objective truth and subjective utility for Imperium, and accept and reject parts of his worldview as is relevant for those objectives.  Of course, if we identify ourselves as “Yockeyians” of a sort, it makes sense that we promote his fundamental Imperium idea, otherwise why be Yockeyians at all?  However, in the absence of the deification of Saint Francis the Demigod, we need not feel like we are committing blasphemy if we reject other areas of Yockey’s thought. 

Therefore, the accusation against the Sallis Groupuscule is not legitimate. As a supporter of Yockey’s fundamental idea of Imperium, I am a legitimate Yockeyian, but because I engage with his ideas on their own merits, and do not deify the man, I can and do disagree with some of the more peripheral aspects of his belief system. That is in fact the complete opposite of those who constantly attack the idea of pan-Europeanism and of Imperium, but who engage in a shallow deification of Yockey the man, substituting a superficial Yockeyian apotheosis for a principled support of the main Yockeyian ideal. If you proudly promote divisive petty nationalism, what purpose is there to celebrate Yockey’s birthday, or breathlessly reveal “previously undisclosed pictures” of the man, or sell his books (other than to make money, always a driving force in the “movement”)?  Imperium the idea is more important than Yockey the man.  Rejecting the former but making the latter into some sort of holy saint, some sort of tin god, does Yockey’s memory no justice. He was a man of ideas and of political action, not a fetishistic totem for those who want to use him instrumentally to promote reactionary concepts totally antithetical to his most important Idea.

Individuals who engage in a de facto deification of Yockey while simultaneously rejecting Yockey’s main idea of Imperium are not serious people and/or they are being radically mendacious. Genuine Yockeyists, pan-Europeanists who support Imperium, are not interested in an apotheosis of Francis Parker Yockey, particularly when this deification is promoted by divisive ethnonationalists, the same sort of petty nationalist Culture Retarders who Yockey despised and opposed. Support the Idea of Imperium; do not deify the man.

The apotheosis of Francis Parker Yockey is most typically the product of Type I activists who tend toward hero worship of "men on white horses" (see: Trump, Donald), but who are intellectually shallow (persona over ideas) or who are mendacious grifters who exploit Yockey’s appeal to further other agendas, even agendas that are anti-Yockeyian.

Type II activists who respect, not deify, Yockey do so because they support, and indeed admire, Yockey’s fundamental idea of Imperium.

Apotheosis is not the proper outcome for a martyred political soldier; instead, admirers should carry on that martyr’s work.

It is interesting that so many pro-Whites, in which I presumptively include both you and Mr. Andrews, seem to exclusively conceive of the White ethnostate in the rump secessionist form, and do not consider, or ignore, or are unaware of, other alternatives such as the “National Premise” concept that would be far more advantageous to Whites and their interests and not place them in such desperate circumstances when much better options are still possible. So, yes, “desperate circumstances,” indeed. But, hey, the American southwest (a desert that is unlivable except as part of a larger USA that provides to that desert the necessities of life) is “the sun belt” and a New York “Minoria” is, hey, New York, so what are all you two inch tall dago cockroaches complaining about, eh?

Thoughts on Saint Babbitt's Day

1/6/21.

Contrary to yellow supremacist cuckservative "race realists" who label the Whites who stormed the US Capitol as "wild yahoos" and "absolutely idiotic" (after all, those red state "yahoos" are not as "cultured" as high-IQ Jews and Chinamen, eh?), I see them as heroic and patriotic White Americans; further, the Sallis Groupuscule mourns the death of Ashli Babbitt, who was, in the opinion of many reasonable observers, murdered by a cowardly member of the System's police forces.

Yes, I did not like the optics of the crowd - they were, for the most part, Alt Liters, paleos, and MAGAtards, akin to Type I "twigs and branches" "movement" "activists." Note I say akin - not the same, those were not "us" - they were NOT WNs or other Far Righters (in any real sense). It would seem that Der Movement, surprisingly, had the good sense not to be involved in this (although no doubt some will try and blame them anyway). 

But, you know, the people there were the people there, the people in the arena are the ones viewed by the audience, so while criticism about optics has objective utility, from a subjective sense, it are the people who act who determine what the descriptive optics are (even though, prescriptively, armchair critics [like Sallis, eh?)] may wish otherwise).

One day, perhaps, people on the Far Right will be judged on whether they took a conservative perspective on 1/6/21 (as do the yellow supremacists) or a radical perspective (as does the Sallis Groupuscule and, to give credit where credit is due, the Counter-Currents crowd).

Further, regardless of what the System does and what the cuckservatives cry about, there are some things that there is no going back from, certain events that are a line in the sand, so to speak, and what I call Saint Babbitt's Day is one of them. That's a dividing line between there being a remote chance of even a partial conservative MAGA and the reality of a dead America in which Whites need to find some way to survive - survive and prosper.  

And I'm sure that the Russians, the Chinese, and others are paying close attention - that a motley band of Alt Liters, paleos, and MAGAtards were able to storm the Capitol and make Senators and Congressmen scurry for cover. Could a single Spetsnaz battalion take over Washington DC in its entirety?  Food for thought in the Kremlin?  Diverse and vibrant America goes from strength to strength, eh?

As regards Trump, you can't say you weren't warned about him here. I noted that his only benefit was to spread spread chaos and balkanization (and I was certainly right about that!), but that the man himself was and is a vulgar cuck fraud.

He incites his followers, inflames the opposition, Babbitt is killed, and then he denounces his own followers and concedes the election. Hey, Fat Donny, if you had conceded two days earlier, Babbitt would still be alive. I'm not saying that Trump should have conceded at all, but if he was going to do so, then do it before the mob behavior you now cravenly denounce, not after.  

Indeed, if Trump had followed my advice and set up a "government-in-exile" scenario, not conceded but NOT promoted the 1/6/21 rally, then he would have no need to concede and slink off in disgrace, having disgusted many of his followers while at the same time not in any way satisfying the braying leftist mob. And Babbitt would still be alive. In a very real sense, Antifa Don Trump has her blood on his (short-fingered) hands. If Trump has any sort of political career at this point, shame on the Right. If Pence and the other GOP ultra-cucks have any political careers within the Republican party (they could always become Democrats, I suppose), then shame on the Republican voters and on the Right in general.

What's done is done. Saint Babbit's Day took place, and it is up to rightist White Americans to make sure her sacrifice was not in vain.

This is a useful comment, and hits the mark in many ways.  My full and unfettered opinions on this all I'm keeping to myself, as the Sallis Groupuscule has other objectives than for me just to vent, but. let's say I find that comment very congenial.

First, this is a statement that Trump needs to make:

This Zman essay on Trump is more or less on target (but nothing you haven’t been reading here for the past four years).  But let us extend the analysis a bit.

An old bit of wisdom is that you should never try to con a con man. This advice is not aimed at con men, of course, but at honest people. Grifters are intuitively dishonest, which means they instinctively work every angle to some advantage. Normal people are simply unable to think like this, even when they are trying to do it. Their scruples get in the way of their scheming. 

This is why it is so difficult for otherwise intelligent people in the “movement” to understand, and deal with, the likes of Johnson, Brimelow, et al.  Well-meaning but pitifully naïve Type I rank-and-file activists are simply unprepared to deal with the “operators” in the “movement” who manipulate the masses of activists as easily as a smooth-talking con man fools his mark.  Endless decades of failure, and still the marks send in the “D’Nations.”  

This is something that Trump should have had in mind when he took office four years ago. It was his first mistake.

First, isn’t Trump at least in part a grifter and con man himself?  And second, what does it say that a New York billionaire real estate mogul is so easily fooled? Isn’t this more evidence that Trump rose to his position in life with the strong headwinds from his father and his family’s connections?  Based purely on merit and “picking himself by his bootstraps” Trump may have been, at most, an effective used car salesman.

Trump came to Washington thinking he was smarter, more clever and more resilient than the people he had mocked for so long from his couch. There’s no question that most people in politics are stupid. Without a government grift, they would end up peddling replacement windows door-to-door. But politics in a liberal democracy does not select for smart people. It selects for clever and ruthless people. Washington is the major leagues for the most clever and ruthless…

Oh, yes, but can’t the same be said about Der Movement’s “leaders?” Unimaginative dullards, comical incompetents, clownish buffoons, idiots with piss-poor judgment – but canny, shrewd political operators who know how to “play the game” to safeguard their personal perks and privileges.

Mid-terms in between?  It is inevitable that those vindictive leftists will come to power at some point, either sooner or later. What’s your plan for that, other than “more of the same?”

Or do you think Trump will seize power as a dictator and then set up a hereditary monarchy? – with Kushner as court Jew of course.

An endorsement.

This will be a bit earlier in 2020 than in 2016, due to the mail-in-ballots, but, anyway, EGI Notes endorses fat bastard Donald J. Trump for President in the 2020 election.

Let us consider together. Far-left cuck Antifa Don Trump is a vulgar ignorant buffoon, a fraud, a betrayer of his base, a man whose own DOJ persecutes his supporters and ignores Antifa terrorism, a crass jackass, a Negrophilic race cuck, a puppet for Jewish interests who has a Jewified family, a retard, a moronic imbecile, a tragicomic idiot, a chronically lazy do-nothing, the weakest President in American history, and an all-around failure.

That said, I do not believe that Der Movement in particular and White America in general are in any way prepared for the horrors of a Kamala Harris administration (with Joe Biden safely drooling in his dementia off in a corner), and, so, it would seem prudent to kick the can down the road to 2024 and have another four year interregnum during which Trump does nothing except tweet, betray his supporters, and energize the Left.

I do not believe that "worse is better" with respect to the pathetically weak cuckified White race and so the best outcome for now is re-electing the obese retarded windbag Donald J. Trump.

A Complete and Utter Failure

A sincere man of genuine greatness.  This emphasizes why it is so important to be factual, eschew pseudoscience and fossilized dogma, and promote merit as opposed to affirmative action Quota Queens. Any mistake, any error, any gibbering stupidity, will be ruthlessly exposed and exploited to delegitimize racial activism.

These anti-White activist types will attempt to discredit actual truth; can you imagine how easy it will be for them to address Der Movement’s pathological lying about race and other issues?

Now, these things happen because Der Movement is a complete and utter failure.  Der Movement has no political support, no elected officials, and not even remote fellow travelers. Der Movement controls no media outlets, and has not even one single sympathetic reporter in any mainstream news entity. Der Movement has no overt representation in academia. Der Movement has no daily or weekly publication that is read regularly by Whites, nor any monthly one either.  Der Movement - which scorns real science and alienates whatever STEM people may have been within its ranks - has no support within the scientific community.  Instead, Der Movement is denounced from across the political spectrum, is relentlessly attacked in the media, and is victimized by targeted political prosecution and persecution by the legal system.  Der Movement is delegitimized by academia, and attacked by science even though in theory science supports the Right more than the Left; the Right’s anti-science attitudes has ruined chances for a defense based on empiricism.

After decades of pitifully failed “activism,” after countless millions of wasted dollars, after the rise and fall of a series of ethnically-approved Quota Queen “leaders,” Der Movement today has, in essence, nothing. It lurches from disaster to disaster, with no plan, no strategy, no contingencies, and as the coming months and years reveal to us all the spectacle of an unprepared “movement” crumbling under the strains of increased leftist pressure, you can remember what you read here at EGI Notes.

While we are at it, we can pretend that Der Movement doesn’t have an ethnic affirmative action program (after all, lisping Quota Queens denounce the idea to “Lovecraft’s cat”), and we can pretend that any mongrel wop or hunkie can rise to the rarified heights of The Hero of the Montana Trust Fund  and The Phantom of the European Men’s Room Urinal.

We can pretend many, many things.  We can even pretend that Der Movement will one day be successful.  Or is that a bridge too far for pretending, a stretch of the imagination too absurd to even consider?
