I have said it before and I'll say it again: If the HBD Nordicists really believed their dogma about significant intra-European differences in individualism vs. collectivism, universalism vs. ethnocentrism, and out-group altruism vs. xenophobia, then they would recognize the incoherence, and the danger, of deriving the leadership of (American at least) pro-White activism exclusively from the ranks of the more individualist, universalist, and out-group altruist White ethnic groups and focusing recruitment on those groups, while rejecting and alienating the more collectivist, ethnocentric, and xenophobic White ethnic groups. But, alas, the dogma is merely a technic to instrumentally utilize HBD rhetoric to reinvigorate moribund Nordicist doctrine. Practical consistency is therefore irrelevant.

Great point. I’m not sure what the basis is for the American claim that whites are uniquely individualistic. Europeans who read this site will understand that individualism is actually about as common here in the white homeland as it is in Asian countries. Not very. Adherence to the societal norm and the established system is paramount and anyone who tries to deviate is subject to a campaign of being cut down. This is actually the primary weapon against dissidents: total conformity, a lack of individualism, the branding of dissidents as being deviants, and against the prevailing moral code. I believe this is the case even in America. The downfall of the white race is not our allegedly unique individualism, but our collective adherence to a moral code that was foisted on us by our racial enemies.

HBD Nordicism is nonsense.

For better or worse, one of the long term consequences of Trump was to get Der Movement interested in mainstream politics. Back in the days of WN 1.0 (for those of you new to the Far Right who may not know this) Der Movement was more or less completely aloof from mainstream (electoral) politics; it was all considered an irrelevant Jew-controlled fraud, a bread-and-circuses distraction. The remnants of WN 1.0 today - such as the ghost of the National Alliance - still essentially follows that attitude, eschewing an interest in real world politics in favor of "thinking long term." However, WN 2.0 and 3.0 are interested in mainstream politics, and this also extends to pop culture and other practical immersions. I would say it is both good and bad. You have to be involved in the real world to affect the real world, but on the other hand, getting distracted by details is a problem, and Trump worship was a dead end cul-de-sac. To the extent right-wing populism is a force and can be leveraged to promote explicit pro-Whiteness then an interest in (electoral) politics is good, but if we slide back into pure cuckservatism, that should be immediately ditched. One side note - the interest in mainstream politics was not only because of Trump - there was some WN 2.0 interest even in the 2012 Presidential election. Part of it is a generational and ideological gulf from WN 1.0 (as well as the shock of having a Black President); but Trump accelerated the process and made it a viable and entrenched feature of the "new WN."

In Caesar's The Gallic Wars we read:

Most curious. Der Movement tells us (against all of the actual archaeogenetics data) that the Romans of the Republic - Caesar's era for example - were Northern European Nordics, racially akin to the Gauls (and Germans). And yet, we see a Roman author, and a patrician no less (Roman patricians allegedly being especially Nordic), making what is essentially a racial contrast between taller (Northern European) Gauls and smaller (Southern European) Romans, and, indeed, using "our" to describe "short stature." Most curious indeed.

It would seem that the runty Morlock vs. towering Eloi distinction existed during the time of "Nordic Rome," eh?

Dealing with the Children of God. Now, if a White police officer, with badge and gun, has so much trouble dealing with Blacks and Hispanics, imagine how it is for an ordinary White civilian living in those neighborhoods. Experto crede.

Animal analogies (eschewing the obvious simian ones) for urban Blacks and Hispanics:

I for example am labeled an "insane paranoid piece of shit" by a prominent "movement" "leader." If milady can't take the rough and tumble of online culture, then leave. Instead we get menstrual whining and huffing and puffing from an inane Anglomaniac.

And he promotes and defends a leftist stupid bitch who made the following argument with a straight (horse) face. After domestic opposition to her Disinformation Board argued that the board would target domestic opposition by labeling it as "disinformation," her response was to state that this domestic opposition to her Disinformation Board was - you guessed it - disinformation.

You just can't make this stuff up.

Unstable Hard Leftist Loser acting alone is exactly my take on it.

Way too much ink has been spilled on dumb conspiracy theories about shooting the beloved Kennedys.

I consider the Kennedys to be rich activist Libtards of the worst sort. What I find hard to believe is the uncritical deification of them by both the Left and the Kosher Right.

Harder to believe is the Kennedy worship on the Far Right. Is it because JFK was a "Nordish Brunn?" Or that the Kennedys today do anti-vaxx nonsense? The Kennedy's were and are the worst type of filthy scum.

Camelot? Given their sexual escapades, Cumalot is more like it.

The problem with this analysis (which does have some value) is that people can be an even mix of these categories. Based on the description, I am strongly progressive in some areas, strongly conservative in others. This leads me to believe that while the author is on the right track in looking for fundamental underlying attributes that influence activism, the progressive vs. conservative divide is not the fundamental divide. Something else is. What that may be will require some deep consideration.

True enough, the author of that piece cites a number of caveats, including one that seems to overlap my criticism:

True, but my criticism goes deeper than that. I'm asserting that the progressive vs. conservative dichotomy is one of a number of more superficial distinctions than derive from a deeper, heretofore unidentified core distinction that is more fundamental. Therefore, there exist people who cannot be binned even as just a bit more progressive or conservative, because there is a deeper identity that for some people can manifest as a completely blurred, more or less even, mix of progressive and conservative traits. 

Another issue is that the motivations of the other side can be complex as well, meaning that both the progressive and conservative Far Right views have merit, which is one reason I partake of both in more or less equal measure. Take COVID for example. Both Far Right views of the COVID issue may be equally true at the same time - the virus is real and a real threat and the System attempted to deal with the threat, albeit in typically inept and politically correct fashion AND at the same time the System utilized the crisis to grab more power and act against the interests of Whites and against nationalist-populist principles. It is possible for people to have complex motives and agendas that consist of equal measure of problem-solving and destructive self-interested power-grabbing. It does not have to be one or the other.

However, I will praise the author for bringing forth an interesting thesis and stimulating a much needed conversation.

The usual suspects want to ascribe Crimo's actions to "White supremacism" or "anti-Semitism" at a time when there is no proof for either. Regardless of his ostensible motivation, the real underlying reason for all of these shootings is the deep alienation of people, particularly the young, in "our" fragmented, trust-no-one, "Bowling Alone," "diverse" multicultural America. It is a sick society and it makes mentally weak people "go postal."

Now, the youth respond to this with their cowardly generational warfare bullshit, blaming it all on "Boomers," rather than pointing the finger at the real culprits - the Jews, their SJW globalist High Truster junior partners, and their Colored pets. The dastardly Boomers were hoodwinked into thinking that voting for Nixon and Reagan would solve the problem and save the country. Instead, Tricky Dick have them busing and affirmative action, and Ronnie Raygun gave them illegal alien amnesty, mass immigration, MLK holiday, and the entrenchment of the Left into government and academia.

At worst, the Boomers were stupidly naive.

Der Movement meets the Mafia?  See from 10:53-11:30. I know this is only an anecdote about a single person, but let us consider it regardless.  First, I see no reason why someone would make something like that up, so let us consider it real.  Interesting that someone heavily involved as an agent of the System – not a Far Right activist – has a strong WASP identity.  Certain, not someone “deracinated” in that sense, contra all the “movement” dogma about that.  Would she have said the same thing to a Negro or a Jew?  Doubtful.  It seems the WASP identity is focused on opposition to the “small brained” (listen to the rest of Gravano’s story about the woman) White ethnic.  After all, Gravano is not a “court Jew,” potential Asian daughter-in-law, or some pet Negro or Hispanic.

I am a practical-minded person.  Therefore, ultimately, what it is about is - what kind of future society do we want? So, instead of only debating abstract principles (fine in itself, but incomplete) and getting bogged down in semantics, the ultimate question is - if you were to win and was able to construct society according to your beliefs, what precisely would that society look like?  We need more discussion about this among activists - all activists - instead of always focusing on abstractions.

I of course oppose and denounce the retraction of MacDonald's paper. I oppose censorship. If the work is wrong, the refute it. If it is not wrong, then it must remain regardless. Ironically enough, the fact that the paper was retracted supports MacDonald’s thesis on the Jews and supports MacDonald in his debate with Cofnas.

White Ethnic Responsibility

Leadership needed.

It is not enough for White ethnics to oppose Der Movement. It that is all there is, then, by default, White ethnics will find themselves on the same side as the anti-White Left, essentially confirming all of Humphrey Ireland’s ranting nonsense.  Not only would such an outcome be used to retroactively justify Nordicist attacks against White ethnics, but it would be a self-destructive catastrophe in its own right. White ethnics are White, they have the same interest in White survival as do other Whites and, let us be honest, “Da Left” hates White ethnics even more than does “Der Right.”  And why should White ethnics let themselves be forced out of pro-White activism that they have every right to be involved in? Principled opposition to Der Movement by White ethnics must ultimately come from the Right – from the racial nationalist Far Right, and not from the Left, the Center, or the Mainstream Right. White ethnics need to be involved in pro-White activism, but not as part of Der Movement; the “movement” is the enemy and must be opposed as part of rebuilding the pro-White activist endeavor.

As part of this project, White ethnics need to make common cause with non-Nordicist pan-European NW Europeans – people like Yockey, Mosley, and the person who was my main collaborator on the Legion Europa project – and, together, all like-minded persons of European descent will be able to forge a movement that can win, and win for the benefit of all Europeans.

And such a movement cannot be a White ethnic-focused navel-gazing counterpart to a Nord-focused navel-gazing “movement” – it has to have an appeal to all Whites, it cannot be limited to, or described as, or characterized as, a particularistic and narrow vehicle for specific subracial and ethnic interests. A narrow focus would be making the same mistake of Der Movement, and would not in any case appeal to the broad spectrum of people we want to attract and accept. While such a movement has to be, at its fundamental core, absolutely pan-European, its opposition to divisive Nordicism (or any other such “ism”) must be defensive; that opposition is to protect the pan-European ideal, not to attack the legitimate identities and interests of different European groups (again, such an error would simply be mimicking in a variant form the basic mistake of Der Movement).

White ethnics cannot save themselves alone, and contrary to the fantasies of the Nordicists, NW Europeans cannot save themselves alone either – observe the pitiful failure of Der Movement as a prime case study of that. With respect to the White ethnics, they alone are an insufficient proportion of the population of White Diaspora nations to be effective in achieving racial nationalist goals, they have a common fate with other White groups in those nations as they belong to the same broader race and civilization and face the same threats, there has been extensive intermarriage with other White groups, and so therefore it makes no sense not to make common cause with other White groups (no sense apart from the hostile attitudes on the Right toward White ethnics - attitudes that need to be addressed, attacked, and defeated). In the European homeland, the various peoples of Europe need to make common cause as well; there are no individual nations, or little subsets of nations, that can achieve a long term final victory on their own. For example, from a Southern European standpoint, how could a racial nationalist Italy survive long term if it is sandwiched between the Global South to the South and a multiracial, multicultural, Leftist Northern and Central Europe to the North?  And who would want to allow the rest of Europe, which, together with Italy, makes up the cradle of our race and civilization, to be lost?

So, we need a pan-European movement to emerge and one in which White ethnics play a role as important as that of any other White group.

Practically speaking, the first step would be to expand a small groupuscule into an online community. Let us consider how other "movement" entities got started. American Renaissance started from a monthly (print) journal that recruited writers and built up a group of loyal readers and supporters, and eventually they had real life meetings, conferences, etc. (today, Amren is online, but still has real life conferences). Counter-Currents started as an online journal/blog, and similarly built up writers, readers, supporters, etc. The National Alliance was directly an activist organization, which was derived from Rockwell's group but more directly was derived from the National Youth Alliance; today, I believe that the American Renaissance and Counter-Currents metapolitical model is the more achievable approach to get started in building a movement entity.  Of course, in all of these cases, you had leadership that was open and overt, public figures using their own names (although Greg Johnson of Counter-Currents, with a common name in America, did hide his face from the public for many years), and those entities (particularly Counter-Currents) were able to tap into certain aspects of an already existing "movement" infrastructure (the affirmative action program being part of that).  A genuinely pan-European group, with White ethnics prominently involved, would have more difficulties getting started (as the Legion Europa failure demonstrated), but the attempt should be made.

Do I really believe that it is likely that this is going to be achieved?  Honestly, no.  In this post, I am being prescriptive, not descriptive.  It seems that no one is really interested; at least, not interested to the extent to actually do anything to actualize this vision. We need White ethnic responsibility to exercise some leadership in this regard, but, again, no one really seems to be interested. 

Der Movement has sufficient members and infrastructure to survive (albeit not prosper) with a low participation rate of people actually doing things.  However, in contrast, there are a tiny number of authentic pan-European activists (in the Anglosphere Diaspora we instead have Nordicists and in Europe we instead have petty nationalists) and, since Der Movement has done a “fine” job in alienating White ethnics, there are a tiny number of such activists involved in pro-White activism, or even merely interested in such. There is not a critical mass of potential activists for the project I propose that would allow any real optimism, a critical mass large enough so that a low participation result would still result in enough activists to make a difference. With Der Movement filling up the Far Right niche space, a healthy-sized pool of people strongly interested in an alternative would be necessary to break into that niche, and such do not exist.  

The only possibility of progress would be if a large fraction of the tiny number of current pan-European, particularly White ethnic, activists would exercise the required leadership, be active, and work to build an attractive alternative to Der Movement. We can also hope that such a project, however small; would attract new high quality people.  Or perhaps some new people will come, and some leader emerge, on their own (highly unlikely - why hasn’t it happened already?) or perhaps more likely inspired by The Sallis Groupuscule (a reason for my continuing activity despite my pessimism). Again, we need people willing to actively participate in the metapolitical and political work to build this alternative movement.  Without such, all of this is just a waste of my time and, more importantly, we (by “we” I mean all Whites) are doomed. And, White ethnics, by their inactivity, would have proved the Nordicists right.

Rockwell Redux Again

More on the same issue.

For another perspective on this, please see this, re: Rockwell, Patler, Patler's wife, and other related issues. Subsequent pages of that book, as well as other sources, speculate about an alleged Koehl-Pierce conspiracy to kill Rockwell, to make Rockwell into a martyr and take over the organization as an explicitly Nordicist-Germanic-Old School Nazi outfit. I make no judgment about the truth or falseness of that, just reporting about the various hypotheses put forth in that book and elsewhere. Indeed, the book suggests that Rockwell was just as much at odds with Koehl (and Pierce) as he was with Patler, and some sources suggest that Rockwell was going to expel Koehl and Pierce as he did with Patler.  Again, I do not know the relative truth of these speculations, of this reporting, but it would appear that the situation may have been more complex than "movement" dogma that a "greasy little Greek turd" killed Rockwell while the heroic Koehl and Pierce strived to keep Rockwell's political vision alive. I don't pretend to know whether that dogma, or revisionist theories, are correct, but at least I admit I do not know, in contrast to others who claim a definitive knowledge about events that are far from clear.

That shifts the focus away from a Rockwell-Patler conflict to a Rockwell-Patler-Koehl-Pierce conflict, and adds the dimension of moral responsibility for Rockwell’s death in addition to the actual legal responsibility. Regardless of who pulled the trigger and whether or not a Koehl-Pierce conspiracy existed, it seems to me that at the very least Koehl and Pierce have significant moral responsibility for Rockwell's death. This episode also underscores the extreme Nordicism of Pierce – one could only imagine his subsequent contempt for non-Nordic National Alliance members.

The whole thing with the alleged affair between Rockwell and Patler's wife, and Patler's alleged submissive support for that affair, is disturbing and disgusting, and certainly puts a fresh perspective on "genetic omnidominance," cuckoldry, and extended phenotypes. It would seem that sometimes people "closer to human origins" are the extended phenotypes of people "farther from human origins."

This additional information also puts into a different perspective the following comments from Pierce from The Fame of a Dead Man’s Deeds: An Up-Close Portrait of White Nationalist William Pierce by Robert S. Griffin:

The guy in charge of the print shop--and remember this name --was John Patler. While I was around there, I had a chance to observe Patler. His real name was Yanacki Patsalos. He was this dark, greasy- looking little guy from New York, and he felt bad he was Greek instead of Swedish or German. It really bugged him. He tried to disguise his origin by changing his name. He had this feeling of inferiority, and he had an envy and hatred for people with light eyes, hair, and complexion. I don't know exactly where this came from. Maybe it was because he had grown up in New York and he was from a poor immigrant family and was at the bottom of the pecking order, and at the top around where he was from were the English, Irish, and Germans. Anyway, he was organizing the darker members of the party against what he called the blue-eyed devils. He was a very aggressive little turd. It was wild, surreal. Patler was sort of talented, though. Besides the printing, he was an artist. He did cartoons for Rockwell. He was smart and had a lot of willpower and drive. The other people in the print shop were real losers of one sort or another, and they did the grunt work for him. "When it came time to print the magazine, I stayed down by the print shop. I ate my meals in a little kitchen in one end of the chicken coop and slept in a station wagon I had at the time. Rockwell had told me that I had better stay down there all the time because he suspected that Patler was going to sabotage the whole damn thing. Patler hates you, Rockwell said. Rockwell said Patler doesn't want this magazine produced because he looks upon it as a competitor to his own magazine, the one he edited, called Stormtrooper. And it did turn out that Patler and I were in constant warfare during that time.

That's very convenient, putting all the blame on Patler and ignoring the overall context. Note some things other there.  Pierce denigrates the "turd" Patler while at the same time that "turd" was "smart and had a lot of willpower and drive." Why was he a "turd" then? Pierce also is outrageously disingenuous here. He states about Patler: "He had this feeling of inferiority, and he had an envy and hatred for people with light eyes, hair, and complexion. I don't know exactly where this came from." That's after describing Patler as "this dark, greasy- looking little guy from New York." If that was the attitude of Patler's "comrades" then, well, is it any surprise Patler had certain negative attitudes toward them?  According to all sources I have seen, Pierce was denigrating Patler - you know, the smart guy with a lot of drive - as a racially inferior greaser, and then he says about Patler's reaction to that: "I don't know exactly where this came from."

Also see this about Rockwell:

“Link,” as Rockwell was nicknamed, was regarded as a selfish and lazy commander. “[He] would usually sit around and read or sleep away most of the day while the rest of us would work or look for work,” one former Nazi said in a typescript memoir acquired by the Arlington Public Library. “Many sympathizers would bring food over to the headquarters during the winter months, and Link would take the choicest food and hog it up and leave the scraps for everyone else.”

Der Movement has always been a defective joke.

In any case, the Nordicist view of the Rockwell-Patler scenario: "You can't trust those swathoids and thar'ts what happens when you include swarthoids in the movement" doesn't necessarily capture the full story that occurred in this case. This goes back to the major point in my last post on this issue. If your group claims to be pan-European, for all Whites, and accepts people like Greeks, then a Greek member who is "smart and had a lot of willpower and drive" is someone who should be valued and allowed to rise as far as their abilities allow. If your attitude toward such a person is that he's a "turd" and "this dark, greasy- looking little guy" then be explicitly Nordicist and don't allow Greeks in your group in the first place. You can't have it both ways. Decide what your ingroup is and then move on from that.

NA: What Went Wrong

The NA question again.

I have previously written about the National Alliance (NA) and its long-time leader, the late Dr. William Pierce, and why that organization, widely recognized as the most successful (in relative terms) White racialist organization in post-WWII America, failed to achieve its major objectives and eventually collapsed (it today exists as a shadow of its former self, with Will Williams as its leader and Kevin Strom as its major ideologue). In addition to the post about the Headquarters question (below), some of my previous comments on this subject are here, also see here, also see this, and see this as well.

Given the importance of the NA in the history of the "movement," understanding its failures – that are essentially the failures of Pierce – can assist in developing more successful approaches that avoid the same pitfalls. Thus, this post can be viewed as a summary of my thoughts on this matter as of the present time (more may come in the future). 

I divide the analysis into four components: Ideology, Strategy, Tactics, and Personality. I then end with Lessons.

Note that this analysis focuses on predominantly endogenous factors, not purely exogenous factors. Thus, I concentrate on characteristics and actions of Pierce and the NA, rather than external factors such as "the sociopolitical climate of America was such that there was no way for the NA to be successful." Of course, there is overlap between endogenous and exogenous factors; for example my assertion that the NA's ideology was unsuitable for America can be considered as much about America as the NA. However, in theory, the NA could have (should have is another question) adjusted components of its ideology; everything I criticize are things that are strongly associated with internal characteristics of Pierce and the NA, and could have been adjusted. My critiques are, therefore, in my opinion, fair since they involve issues that were within the power of Pierce and the NA to, at least to some extent, change. Even issues of personality fall into this category; for example, Pierce could have modified his leadership style to match his personality, even if he likely could not have significantly altered his basic personality type.

Ideology. While the NA was ostensibly a pro-White activist organization and, also, ostensibly, pan-European/pan-Aryan, in reality it was an overtly neo-Nazi, Hitler-worshipping, narrowly racial-biological (essentially ignoring culture), and solidly Nordicist. The NA was firmly in the camp of what Yockey termed “vertical racism” and was very radical in this sense and, again, as must be stressed, unapologetically “Nazi” (indeed, Pierce got his start in the "movement" as part of Rockwell’s American Nazi Party). This hardcore, radical neo-Nazism was, and is, not well suited for America, not only for the White masses (that Pierce was not really interested in appealing to), but also to most of the “elite” Whites that the NA wished to recruit. That Pierce and the NA were, at their heart, extremely Nordicist while pretending to be pan-European/pan-Aryan was a major weak point, another focus of tension leading to potential problems. When combined with Pierce’s strategic and tactical errors (and personality issues), the NA's flawed ideology doomed the group to inevitable failure, and in part explains why the organization degenerated into a Pierce personality cult.

Please note that I am not saying that the NA had to alter their underlying worldview to adjust to the surrounding society; after all, I am an opponent of mainstreaming (in the sense of changing core beliefs). But there is a difference between being national socialist (small "n" and small "s") and being overtly neo-Nazi with openly Nazi aesthetics and Hitler worship. There's a difference between stressing biological race and focusing exclusively on that. If Pierce wanted the NA to follow a Nordicist philosophy, then he should have restricted NA membership to "Germanic" NW Europeans ("Nordics") and not pretended to be pan-European/pan-Aryan. Of course, it is possible that even with those adjustments, the organization's ideology would still have been ill-suited for America. However, at least it would have eliminated superfluous harmful characteristics (e.g., cartoonish Nazi memes) as well as hypocrisy (the cryptic Nordicism). And, in any case, at this point in my analysis I am being more descriptive than prescriptive; my belief is that the NA's progress was inhibited by its ideology and how that ideology was manifested. If that was so, whether or not the organization should have changed its ideology (or at least the surface manifestations of that ideology), or just plowed ahead "as is," is another question.

Strategy. Although I am no fan of Greg Johnson, I will admit that Johnson’s characterization of Pierce as a “Leninist” has validity.  Pierce’s strategy, such as it was, seemed to be to create a revolutionary cadre, and the paradigms of his novels The Turner Diaries and Hunter seem to underline what his mindset was concerning his preferred mechanism of social change. Thus, Pierce was interested in revolutionary, rather than evolutionary, change. The NA did not engage in electoral politics, was uninterested in real community building or in broad metapolitical education (other than their insipid propaganda and the books they sold), knew nothing about democratic multiculturalism, was not interested in the slow infiltration of institutions, and always seem to have the attitude of “the system is about to collapse, so…no need to do X,Y,Z.” There really didn’t seem to be any grand strategy at all apart from wishful thinking that somehow a revolutionary cadre will be built and somehow that will lead to the overthrow of the System. Year after year, decade after decade…and no progress to anything meaningful occurred, which is not really surprising since there was no realistic strategy directing the organization to achieving any fixed objectives. The combination of a flawed ideology and a missing or ineffective strategy doomed the group from accomplishing anything meaningful, even without the tactical and personality problems discussed below.

Tactics. I have previously discussed Pierce's error in moving the NA’s “National Office” to the mountain woods of West Virginia, see here. The costs and benefits of the move are considered in that essay and the conclusion is that the costs significantly outweighed the benefits.  Thus, the decision to move to the mountains of West Virginia was a very serious tactical error. 

Another serious error was the over-centralization of decision-making in the NA. True enough, keeping a tight control of NA local unit activity made some sense since the government, as well as litigious “watchdog” groups such as the SPLC, would have attempted to hold Pierce responsible for any illegal activities of his followers. But he went too far in smothering any and all local initiative (with a few possible exceptions – Gliebe in Ohio  may have had a bit more of a free hand, I don’t know), and, in the end, many local units were allowed to do nothing except distribute the sterile and unappealing propaganda of the National Office. A combination of high quality, prudent and disciplined local unit coordinators, and a more “rapid response” and flexible national leadership, could have allowed local units to engage in a wider scope of (perfectly legal) activity, including producing and distributing locally-relevant propaganda. Not allowing greater local autonomy squandered many opportunities, depressed local unit morale, and basically transformed the National Alliance from a potentially useful activist organization into a money-making enterprise for Pierce. In the end, while one could understand why a degree of centralized control was necessary, Pierce went way overboard with this. Pierce could have tested local units by first allowing a small degree of local initiative to them and then observing the results; those units that proved capable of effective and responsible self-directed activity could have been kept on a longer leash, while others who proved not capable kept on a much shorter leash. 

Thus, the combination of over-centralization and a non-dynamic, slow, and inflexible national leadership impeded progress to a significant degree.  Associated with all of that is that the NA, particularly at the local unit level, had poor security, and was too easily compromised by infiltrators and spying. The habit of giving responsibility for local security to folks whose qualifications were, e.g., “an interest in Viking battle axes,” yielded the expected tragicomic results. Greater local unit autonomy would have been possible only with greater security and proper vetting of members, who all needed to be of high quality. Further related to this was Pierce's poor judgment in choosing (at least some) local unit coordinators, with a combination of typical "movement" ethnic affirmative action, combined with Tom Sawyer-like techniques – e.g., paint a fence at the national headquarters, and so prove you are uncomplaining enough to follow orders. That’s a bit limited for vetting I think. Obviously, greater local unit autonomy, and, overall, more productive local units, absolutely required local unit leadership of very high quality, and that did not seem to exist in some cases. And whomever was responsible for selecting Gliebe as Pierce’s successor made a terrible mistake. Gliebe may have been an effective local unit coordinator (I don’t know for sure, but he had that reputation), but he was not suited to lead the NA after Pierce's death.

Personality. A group like the NA, with a highly centralized command structure, and with an eventual personality cult, required a dynamic and charismatic leader. Pierce, whatever his positive attributes – after all he led the most successful (again, note “most” – relative terms) White racialist group for about three decades – lacked dynamism and charisma and was more of an intellectual introvert (albeit a highly radicalized one, with a “Leninist” temperament). By itself, this may not have been fatal, but when combined with the other problems, it was disastrous. Indeed, moving to the “mountaintop” in the West Virginia woods had more to do with Pierce’s personal preferences and temperament than to any deep strategic or tactical planning (and in Griffin’s biography of Pierce, there was talk of some personal reasons why Pierce left the DC area for West Virginia). Pierce’s lack of dynamism, flexible thinking, and timely decision-making was also a big problem for an organization that was so highly centralized and depended on his approval for getting things done, particularly at the local level. Months and years went by with nothing seemingly getting done other than distribution of mediocre propaganda, payment of “membership dues,” and book sales. For a “Leninist,” that’s no way to make a “revolution.”

Lessons. Looking at this from a positive, constructive sense, what is required is an ideology that is consistent for its members (if you have pan-European membership then be pan-European; if you are Nordicist, then restrict membership to Nordics), sane, appropriate for its society, not obsessed with Hitler and Nazism, and something that can be broadly applied to different strategies and tactics. It can indeed be very radical, but in a sense other than “Sieg Heil, praise Saint Adolf.” There needs to be an effective grand strategy that encompasses different synergistic approaches and not just a “Der Tag” revolutionary mindset, there needs to be appropriate tactics and a learning curve that avoids repeating error, there needs to be a balance between centralization and decentralization (while keeping legal liability in mind, maintaining discipline, and having effective operational security), and leaders need to have leadership personalities.

The fact is that whatever good that has been happening - and it's not much - has been in despite of, not because of, the retarded "movement" and its inept affirmative action "leaders." The chaos and balkanization from Trump and the growth of right-wing populism in some precincts of the "normie" Right has been somewhat helpful. I suppose that some Whites are being modestly "radicalized" to the Right as a reaction to BLM, CRT, "wokeness," etc. But those are political and social currents for the most part not directly connected to the "movement." If Der Movement had done the right thing during the Trump years, such as quietly building in depth behind the scenes, it would be better positioned to take advantage of all that is going on today. I believe that the reality is somewhere in between the mainstream narrative and the links above. On the one hand, where there’s smoke there’s fire; the reputation of Italian military ineptness has some basis in fact. On the other hand, that reputation has been over-inflated and taken out of context. Consider WWII. Allied with Germany and very poorly equipped, the Italian military lasted in the field for ~ three years before surrender.  In contrast, allied with the British Empire and much better equipped, the French military lasted in the field for ~ six weeks before surrender. And just because the French were allowed, for political reasons, to piggyback on D-Day, and ended up on the winning side, does not excuse the complete catastrophe of 1940. The French have a certain military reputation over the last 150 years that cannot be ignored.  Not everyone is as militarily efficient as, say, Germany used to be. Is that criticism of the French also over-inflated and taken out of context?  Perhaps.  But what goes around comes around. Every ethny should be held to the same standards.

Individuals should be held accountable for the wrong the actually do.  Fauci saying that The China Plague was and is a threat is not doing wrong, that's the facts; in that case, the flubros were the ones doing wrong. However, Fauci being another "Ben Dover" lickspittle adherent of Chinese interests - that is wrong, and we should all hold him accountable for that.

Criminal culpability – yes.  Absolutely yes.

The key to all of this is China. The key to general “movement” silence – or actual scoffing at the lab hypotheses – coming from Der Movement also involves China. What about the other problem, the fear, the free riding problem? Maybe the person in question is not quite so ignorant as they may first appear.  Maybe he at least strongly suspects others share his beliefs. But he is afraid to speak out, afraid of being wrong about his assessment of the beliefs of the others (so pluralistic ignorance feeds into the fear factor), afraid of the consequences of speaking out, afraid of social pricing. Each person therefore does not want to be the first one to speak out, they want someone else to be the first, and since everyone is waiting for "someone else," all remain quiet and nothing happens.  Each person wants to be a "free rider" on the courage of someone else, they want to reap the benefits that they will all accrue if "someone breaks the ice" and gets the process going, but each person refuses to invest the effort and sacrifice to be that first one.

So, either people are ignorant as to whether others realize that the System "has no clothes" and/or they refuse to be the first one to speak out, and so the pluralistic ignorance and selfish free-riding cowardice prevents anything from being done.  Racially aware Whites, deeply unhappy with the System, may be interacting on a daily basis with other Whites who feel exactly the same, but they do not know it.  And the System's social pricing approach is designed to feed into this, to make each person afraid to be the first to speak out, and, by not hearing any similar beliefs, each person is, in addition, ignorant about just how widespread these beliefs actually are.

Solving this problem requires someone to be the first to realize others feel the same and to be the first to speak out. One benefit of "democratic multiculturalism" is that it "breaks the ice" of Whites speaking out, and does so in a manner (i.e., complaining about discrimination as part of working within the context of multiculturalism) that is safer, less threatening, and more socially acceptable than an immediate foray into hardcore racial nationalism.

Unfortunately, The Emperor Has No Clothes paradigm applies to the "movement" as well. I cannot believe that no one else has the same complaints about the "movement" as I do, yet they remain silent, because they are not sure how widespread this discontent is, or they are afraid. They may be afraid that if they violate the "movement's" fossilized memes that they will be ostracized. They may feel unsure of themselves, and they may fear offending "movement leaders," they fear committing the crime of lese majeste against certain august "movement" personages. I myself do not care about being popular or not; I speak my mind and hope others will join in once I say that "there are no clothes."

I’m not sure why the rank-and-file, some of whom certainly know better, are so hesitant to criticize “movement” leaders. I can somewhat understand hesitancy in critiquing the System, which has real power, but Der Movement?

The grift continues?

Just the facts.  HBDers weep. Pangolins?  I thought it was “an American bioweapon.”  Now, it’s back to being zoonotic?  Should HBDers be indicted for treason?  Convicted?  Executed?

This analysis is surprisingly reasonable. The single most important point in that essay:

When viewed as a system, what appears to be coordination and sentience in liberal democracy is actually emergent behavior.

This is an error the Far Right makes as often, or more so, than the Right in general. Everything to them is a well-coordinated conspiracy, orchestrated by “the Jews” or “the globalists” (who of course overlap to a considerable degree). In actuality, much of the behavior in question is emergent from the properties of the System, which is, of course, created and maintained, also to a considerable degree, by those selfsame Jews/globalists.  So, in many cases, it is indirect, rather than direct, control.  True enough, the endpoint is the same, but to correctly diagnose the problem, and to avoid sounding like lunatics to “normies,” indirect vs. direct is an important distinction. It is a distinction with a difference, at least with respect to political optics and eventual victory.

One wonders if the same applies to Der Movement.  Perhaps some of that which I ascribe to a coordinated HBD-Nordicist-ethnonationalist alliance is, at least in part, simply due to emergent behavior of a racialist system created by, and for, Nordicists and related types of ethnic fetishists.

Still, though, the coordination among elements in Der Movement at times seems more coordinated than what is observed in the System. Is the "movement" behavior really coordinated? Reality or illusion?  Hard to say.  The recent emergence of Lipton Matthews among a variety of Quota Queen outlets, virtually simultaneously, is an example of either fairly tight coordination or an emergent strain of groupthink that is quite remarkable in its own right. Can it be possible that “movement” dogma and rent-seeking self-interest is so pronounced that the Quota Queens move in the same direction independently and without overt directing coordination?

Getting back to the Zman article, and looking at society as a whole, a fundamental problem is that human types that exhibit “dark triad” psychopathic traits tend to rise to positions of authority (we’ll pass in silence over the relevance of that to Der Movement), and such elites structure society to serve their own selfish interests. On a group level, ethnocentric and collectivist psychopaths (Jews) structure society to benefit their own group, and they leverage more individualistic psychopaths (High Trusters) so as to get the latter to work against their own racial interests (that they care nothing for) and instead support the racial interests of the former group.  Hence, we observe as a result a “right-wing” leadership that acts against White interests not much different, in the end, than do leftists.  The entire System is built to serve the interests of psychopaths, and among these, the group interests of the more collectivist are favored. The emergent properties of such a System become rapidly evident to careful observers.

Well, yes.  Re: Jews and others who support Jewish interests:

They’ll be writing and publishing anti-Black materials themselves, in an effort to capture that particular market and control it.

Yes, it’s called HBD.

And the Jews will figure that if they can keep the reaction under control for twenty years or so, for a generation, it will lose its vitality and die out. And then there’ll be nothing left to threaten them, nothing left to thwart their plan for a Mulatto future.

Der Movement is, perhaps unknowingly, part of that controlling delaying action. The words quoted were from Pierce, thirty seven years ago. Thirty seven years! And what has been accomplished in all of that time? Nothing.

Speaking of which, you can only laugh at this gibbering stupidity. Gee, well, if we can’t tell that folks are Jews due to their skin tones and hair textures, and if Jews can pass as “Nordish,” we’ll just have to parse their behavior. I mean, that’s all objective and scientific, right?  Break out the behavioral calipers, so to speak.

But we can do a better job of motivating people to do their duty…One way is…to try harder to have an organization which fills a real need in people’s lives.

If Trump is really a sincere right-wing populist, and was so in 2016, then why did he run as a mainstream Republican in 2020?  If Huey Long had run as President would he have run as a corporate conservative? I suppose Adolf Hitler could have been elected Reich President if he had run as a Hindenburg-style conservative. But, you see, people with genuine ideals do not suddenly completely switch their political persona from one campaign to another.

2. What made Trump and his handlers believe he would make a credible mainstream Republican candidate in 2020?  Is that because he had betrayed his supporters and governed as a mainstream Republican for four years?

But you have some who say Bezos is a “disgusting” “bugman” while, on the other hand, MacDonald suggests that Bezos’ “Nordic ancestry” will make him pro-White. Of course, if MacDonald's "primordialist" interpretation of "the origins of Western individualism" is correct, then one would expect Bezos' "Nordic ancestry" to make him less, not more, likely to become a champion of White interests.

Of the various complaints I have against Der Movement, inconsistencies such as that rank high. Another example would be to claim that the "primordialist" differences between Northern and Southern Europe date back to the Neolithic, while simultaneously claiming that Ancient Greece and Rome (that were after the Neolithic) were both originally racially Nordic (that is of course not at all supported by genetic studies).

Reading more complaints about the covid-19 vaccine at Zerohedge, I see the word "jabs" used again, supporting my view that anti-vaccine anxiety is to a large extent fueled by a childish fear of needles (and, perhaps, a psychosexual neurosis about being "violated" by the "jabs" - e.g., "Jew doctors are sodomizing our babies with needles and giving them autism"). Meanwhile, Israeli vaccination efforts are proceeding efficiently, and, as the pandemic continues, more dangerous mutant strains spread.

Note as well that none of the complainers dare mention the word "China." We can't let "Ben Dover" get upset now, can we?  As well, the HBDers are, in Trumpian fashion, monitoring the situation - you had better not utter any criticism against The Land of the Gods.

If Whites didn’t vote, and it was made clear that the reason was the GOP’s betrayal of White interests, then that would be one thing. If, in a general election (not a run-off), a pro-White third party siphoned off White votes from the GOP, that would be even better. But, in this situation, in the current circumstances, what kind of idiot would endorse the Far Left?

Move affirmative action here.  One of the major themes of the discussion is Taylor’s naiveté, which he himself admits and his friend Dickson repeatedly points out, and that is on full display in that podcast. Compare Dickson’s and Taylor’s views in this discussion. Taylor's naiveté is an issue that has been brought up in many forums, it is something that has been going on for years.
